Jincheng Lake Introduction
Jincheng Lake, located near the mouth of the Kejia River in Hsinchu, was originally named "Devil's Pool." It was once filled with sediment but has since been restored and is now an important resting area for wild birds in northern Taiwan. At least 250 species of birds can be found here, which has become its main feature. The intertidal zone is home to numerous marine organisms, including fish, crabs, and shellfish. Jincheng Lake is a significant stopover for many migratory birds, and the best bird-watching spots are along the lake and its embankments. The optimal time for bird watching is from September to May. Jincheng Lake is the best bird-watching site in the Gangnan area, and bird-watching enthusiasts should not miss it.
