Jincheng Lake Introduction

Jincheng Lake, located near the mouth of the Kejia River in Hsinchu, was originally named Devil's Pond. It used to be silted, but after restoration, it has become an important resting place for wild birds in northern Taiwan. There are at least 250 species of birds, making this one of its biggest features. The intertidal zone is home to many coastal organisms, filled with fish, crabs, mollusks, and more. Jincheng Lake is a major stop for many migratory birds, and the lake and the embankment are the best places for bird watching. The optimal time for bird watching is from September to May each year. Jincheng Lake is the best bird watching spot in the Gangnan area, and bird watching enthusiasts should not miss it.
