Jincheng Lake Birdwatching Area Introduction
In the early days, Jincheng Lake served to regulate the water levels of the newly reclaimed land at Haipu, but now it is the main drainage outlet for farmlands in the Gangnan area. The intertidal zone of Jincheng Lake is home to many coastal organisms, attracting birds to feed. The two sandbars in the center of the lake have become resting spots for birds, making it the best time for birdwatching during high and low tides. Jincheng Lake is also the best location for observing waterfowl in the Hsinchu area.
