Shihding Wulu Caishen Temple Introduction
The Wulu Caishen Temple is a purely Taoist temple, primarily visited for the purpose of seeking wealth. Facing the Jinbaoshan, which resembles a gold ingot, this temple is especially popular among worshippers. Additionally, the gold furnace for burning joss paper, the incense burner, and the wealth-concentrating pot are all designed in the shape of gold ingots, making it a temple of wealth and prosperity in northern Taiwan. The architectural feature of the Wulu Caishen Temple in Shiding is resplendent, with gold and brilliant designs and gold ingot motifs present in columns, furnaces, and decorations everywhere. The temple enshrines five wealth gods: Zhao Gongming, the messenger of wealth, the Heavenly Master of Fortune, the Heavenly Master of Treasures, and the Good Fortune Immortal, catering to requests for both legitimate wealth and windfall gains. Visiting during the Chinese New Year, one can experience a brilliant atmosphere filled with auspicious energy, which not only brings luck but also allows visitors to share in the temple's good fortune. If one wants to seek "wealth gold," they can cast divination blocks, sign up with their personal information at the altar, and obtain the wealth gold. Additionally, lucky money can be exchanged with the Tiger God using small change. Afterward, visitors can leisurely stroll along Shenkeng Old Street to enjoy fried stinky tofu, braised tofu, and tofu ice cream, among other tofu dishes.
