Ducheng Guangchengyan Temple Introduction
Located directly opposite the Tucheng MRT Station, it was established in 1969 (the 58th year of the Republic) with Master Chuanbin, a disciple of the late Master Guangqin, as the first abbot. In 1978 (the 67th year of the Republic), buildings such as the Huazang Pagoda, the Main Hall, and the Scripture Pavilion were expanded based on the terrain of Xiaoshanlun. The current Guangcheng Rock, a modern building established in 1994 (the 83rd year of the Republic), was built due to the widening and reconstruction of Jincheng Road, which resulted in the expropriation of about 1,000 pings from the original temple land of over 1,400 pings. Nevertheless, the exterior retains the traditional temple style architecture.
