Yunsheng Waterfall Introduction
Yunshen Waterfall, located in the Xiang Kong area of Sanxia District, New Taipei City, is situated upstream of the Zhongkeng Creek. It is a collective term for two waterfalls: Yunxin and Senshan. Some also refer to them along with the Sisters Waterfall as "Yunshen Three Waterfalls." The path is mainly a gentle mountain trail, flanked by lush forests, with several clear streams, creek valleys, wooden bridges, and aluminum ladders to cross along the way, making it an exciting yet safe adventure filled with natural wonders. Not long after crossing the creek, one can see the Yunxin Waterfall, about ten meters high and resembling a dual curtain. Nearby, giant blue maples grow, providing a chance to appreciate the beautiful scenery of layered red maple leaves against the gorgeous waterfall from late December to early January each year. There is a steeper trail on the left leading to the cliff top of Yunxin Waterfall and the slender Senshan Waterfall; however, the view and area are limited and cannot be approached closely. The beauty of Yunshen Waterfall attracts many photographers and television advertisements, leading to an increase in visitors for watching waterfalls, appreciating maple leaves, mountaineering, creek tracing, and water play. Due to the narrow mountain roads and limited parking, it is recommended to avoid holidays or head out early. Nearby, one can also hike intermediate mountains such as Zhulushan, Kapaushan, Lepemountain, Combination Mountain, and Manyuanyuan Mountain, or visit the Charcoal Ancient Trail, as well as the "Manyuan Forest Recreation Area" or Sanxia Old Street, to enjoy a forest spa journey deep in the clouds.
