Milingan Theater Introduction
"Miling'an" means "to tell stories" in the Paiwan language. It embodies the mythological spirit of the indigenous people's ancestors, the land, and the mutual care between humans, reflecting the importance of humility, cherishing blessings, and protecting the land for modern humanity. Miling'an is not a single performance; each show serves, either spiritually or materially, as a connection between the past and the present. The voices and languages from the Paiwan people continuously internalize the wisdom of their ancestors and life stories, linking them to contemporary social thoughts and issues, ensuring that the stories of this land are told and sung for generations to come. Led by Paiwan soul singer Rui Si and producer Hu Jian, Rui Si is the winner of the Best Vocal Performance Award in the Traditional and Arts Category at the 15th Golden Melody Awards. The theater troupe has been operating the "Miling'an Music Theater" in the Xindian area, integrating performing arts with indigenous culture. The "Miling'an Lakeside Musical" is regularly performed every Friday and Saturday at the Spring Hill Resort in Wulai District, New Taipei City (No. 3, Dam 3, Wulai District, New Taipei City).
