The main building of the visitor service center is a two-story structure with a sloped design, resembling a spiral shell that appears as if ocean waves rise from the ground. The second floor features a viewing platform where visitors can enjoy the Gaomei sunset and windmills, making it also suitable for stargazing at night. The outdoor plaza features installations resembling fiddler crabs and shells, as well as an outdoor ecological pond for visitors to take photos and closely observe the wetland ecology. In addition to providing travel information and guided services, an "Ecological Experience Center" is planned for visitors to gain a more comprehensive and profound understanding of wetlands and ecology. Gaomei Wetlands Visitor Center & Sunset Camping Ground Introduction

**Play and Experience Guide** ◼️ **Ecological Experience Center** - Circular Theater, Interactive Experience Area, and Ecological Education Center ◼️ **View the Gaomei Sunset and Windmills, Stargazing at Night** To prevent the influx of people and vehicles from damaging the local landscape and ecology, the Taichung City Government's Construction Bureau spent over two years establishing the "Gaomei Wetland Visitor Service Center." Covering an area of approximately 8.4 hectares, the center includes two parking lots (Parking Lot 68 and 69) that can accommodate 27 large buses, 568 cars, and 205 motorcycles in addition to the visitor service center itself. The visitor service center is a two-story building with a sloped design, resembling a spiral that symbolizes waves rising from the ground. The second floor features an observation deck where visitors can admire the Gaomei sunset and windmills, making it also suitable for stargazing at night. The outdoor plaza is adorned with installation art shaped like fiddler crabs and shells, as well as outdoor ecological ponds for visitors to observe wetland ecology up close. In addition to providing travel information and guiding services, the center also features an "Ecological Experience Center" where visitors can gain a more complete and profound understanding of wetland and ecological knowledge. Furthermore, the visitor service center has dining areas, cultural and creative product sections, and regularly organizes concerts and ecological lectures, offering a comfortable and convenient experience for tourists through a diversified, multifaceted approach. **Spotlight Features** The Ecological Experience Center within the Visitor Center is divided into a circular theater, an interactive experience area, and an ecological education center. Upon entering the circular theater, guests can experience the stunning effects of a 360-degree projection. The theater showcases the beauty of Gaomei Wetland throughout the four seasons and various times of day, with each scene beautifully depicting the unique magical landscapes of Gaomei Wetland. In the interactive experience area, visitors are first introduced to the "Wetland Knowledge Wall," providing an overview of global wetlands and migratory routes of migratory birds; it then educates visitors about the development history of Gaomei Wetland and the flora and fauna that inhabit it. A highlight is the "Gaomei Tide," which uses technology to simulate the beautiful Gaomei sunset even on cloudy days. The interactive games "Wetland Plants," "Dancing Crabs," and "Soaring High" are particularly popular with children, designed with motion-sensing devices to enhance kids' impressions of wetland ecology. Visitors can also take a memorable photo with friends and family at the "Gaomei Memory Wall"! At the exit, the ecological education center provides various ecological lectures and activities regularly. The Ecological Experience Center aims to convey accurate knowledge about wetlands through diverse means, hoping to plant the seed in visitors' hearts that "sustainable use of wetlands needs your and my protection." To respond to the unique natural environment, located 20 meters from the coast, the "Slowly Sunset Camping Ground" offers a camping experience combining a one-night, two-meal package with rich resources around the Gaomei Wetland Visitor Service Center, providing ecological experience courses to deeply understand the blue carbon ecosystem. Using locally sourced fresh ingredients, the "Tidal Island Restaurant" on the second floor of the visitor service center boasts unbeatable sea views, while the vegan wine bar "Tipsy Sunset" on the first floor offers creatively made dishes rich in local characteristics, creating a luxurious camping venue perfect for family and children’s travel.
