Youhe Book Introduction
Located on the banks of the Tamsui River, between the metro station and the ferry terminal, it was opened in late 2006. The owners are a poet and a film critic, which makes the bookstore particularly focused on poetry and film literature; especially poetry, with a special section showcasing rare and out-of-print books that are not for sale. The main offerings are new books, categorized into literature, film, ecology, travel, and more. There is also a café that periodically hosts film screenings and discussions, new book launches, poetry readings, concerts by independent musicians, and discussions on various social issues. It preserves a bit of the voice of literature and poetry amidst the daily commercialization of the bustling riverside.
