Tamsui Old Street Huwei Bakery Introduction
This shop, rooted in a century-old pastry-making technique, rolls out multi-layered flaky crusts to create the beautifully shaped yellow-hued pollen pastries. It is a treasure of Huwei Township and the only store in Taiwan that uses pollen as a filling. By recreating the splendor of the Huwei pastry shop from the 1960s, it revives the memories of grandparents. The shop not only reinterprets traditional flavors but also incorporates modern health concepts, ensuring that all the products made in-store are either egg-free or vegan, with absolutely no added spices, preservatives, colorings, or other chemical additives.
