Bao Antang Introduction
A century-old pharmacy that has been passed down through three generations continuously innovates, developing tea drinks that cater to the modern preferences for health and beauty. It is said that disciples of Master Cheng Yen purchase this tea to present to their master. On the day of the visit, someone happened to come to buy traditional Chinese medicine to make liquor, using a mix of 15 herbs including the "Ten Full" and "Thousand-Year Dragon Bone." The owner claimed this concoction is better than XO liquor. "Bao An Tang" has now reached its third generation, with owner Chen Hsin-Hsiung preparing to pass it on to the fourth-generation daughter-in-law, Chen Shih-Hui-Mei. Due to its long history, every item in the store has its own story; the cups and plates were used by former Governor Zhou Zhirou 50 years ago, and the owner takes pride in the Huanghuali scale and bamboo scale, stating they are worth more than gold.
