Tamsui "Xin Sheng Fa Bakery" is a traditional store in Banqiao, Puqian, that has been in operation for fifty years, now presenting its first branch after this long history. The store was purchased for 40 million and has been renovated into a four-story shop. With the appeal of a purely handmade "Taiwanese Cultural Bakery," it allows tourists visiting Tamsui to enjoy traditional flavors reminiscent of their memories. The first-generation founder, Du Fa, started as an apprentice at the age of thirteen and dedicated himself to the bakery business. He initially sold offerings such as flour turtles and traditional Chinese pastries, gaining a reputation locally due to the quality of ingredients and taste. In addition to inheriting traditional flavors, he constantly experimented with new products. The "Bean Paste Meat Flaky Pastry" was conceived by Du Fa about sixteen years ago and has become Xin Sheng Fa's exclusive signature product. His siblings, Du Su Zhi and Mei Nu, studied Japanese baking techniques in Japan, enhancing the balance of sweetness and sourness of the bean paste and meat while ensuring the product remains fresh for six days without any preservatives.
