Tamsui "Hsin Sheng Fa Bakery" is the first branch of the well-established Banqiao Puqian old store that has been around for fifty years. They purchased a four-story shop for forty million and renovated it, aiming to create a "Taiwanese cultural bakery" that allows tourists visiting Tamsui to enjoy the traditional flavors they remember. The first-generation founder, Du Fa, started as an apprentice at the age of thirteen, entering the pastry industry. Initially, he sold traditional Chinese pastries and offerings such as dough turtles. With high-quality ingredients and great taste, the bakery gradually gained a reputation in the local community. The "Mung Bean Paste Meat Flaky Pastry" is a concept created by Du Fa about sixteen years ago and became Hsin Sheng Fa's signature product. Du Su Zhi and his sister, Mei Nu, both studied in Japan to learn baking techniques, providing a method to balance the sweet and sour notes of the mung bean paste and meat filling, without adding any preservatives, allowing for six days of freshness.
