Charcoal Kiln Historic Trail Introduction
The ancient pathway of Shaotaiwo features rustic remnants of stone steps and serene bamboo groves. However, most of the path is located within the boundaries of an Army Armored Corps training ground, and access to the most intact segment of the ancient path requires crossing a barbed-wire fence that has been cut. The mountain trail is paved with flat stones, originally made for the convenience of porters traveling up to the Hukou Terrace. On the left side of the path, there are stone walls made of pebbles, while the right side is adorned with lush bamboo forests. This pathway also connects to the Tuniugou Ancient Path.
