Charcoal Pit Old Trail Introduction
The Charcoal Kiln Ancient Trail features ancient stone steps and tranquil bamboo groves, but most of the trail lies within the range of the Army Armored Corps training ground. To access the most well-preserved section of the ancient trail, one needs to cross the cut barbed wire of the training facility. The stone path, made up of flat stones, was originally laid out for the convenience of porters to climb toward the Hukou Plateau. On the left side of the trail, there are cobblestone retaining walls, while the right side is lush with bamboo. It also connects to the Tujiaogou Ancient Trail.
