Wei Wei Jia Persimmon Cake Farm Introduction
Xinpu persimmon cakes have a history of over a hundred years. In particular, Hankan’s geographical environment, which is particularly dry, along with Hsinchu's unique strong and dry Jiou-Jiang winds, provides the best natural conditions for making persimmon cakes. We still follow the traditional methods of sun exposure, Jiou-Jiang wind drying, and wood charcoal roasting to pass down the ancient sweet, non-greasy, and fragrant flavors. Sun-dried persimmons present the most beautiful scenery of autumn harvest. Behind the farm, there are two persimmon trees that visitors can freely explore, photograph, and learn about. Weiwei Persimmon Cake Leisure Farm focuses on educating about persimmon cake production and the ecology of persimmon fruit, thoroughly demonstrating the production process of persimmon cakes. The farm even preserves over 200 persimmon trees that are not harvested to conduct ecological teaching activities. Every autumn, the mountains are adorned with bright red persimmons, merging with the ecological environment; the sight of "blue skies and yellow leaves" alongside "north wind, red persimmons" makes it the best destination for family activities to deeply experience the persimmon orchard. This place also offers the making of persimmon dye and persimmon dolls, which is fun and enjoyable!
