Weijia Persimmon Cake Eco Farm Introduction
The Xinpuh Persimmon Cake has a history of over a hundred years, especially in Hankan, where the geographical environment is particularly arid. Coupled with Hsinchu's unique strong and dry "Jiu Jiang Wind," these conditions create the best natural environment for making persimmon cakes. We still adhere to traditional methods of sun drying, wind drying with the Jiu Jiang Wind, and charcoal roasting with wood to preserve the classic sweet and non-greasy, fragrant and chewy flavors. Sun-dried persimmon cakes are a beautiful scene during the autumn harvest, and there are two persimmon trees planted on the hillside behind the farm, where visitors can freely explore, photograph, and learn. Weiwei Jia Persimmon Cake Tourist Farm is renowned for teaching persimmon cake making and persimmon fruit ecological education, fully presenting the process of making persimmon cakes. They even retain over 200 persimmon trees without harvesting fruit to facilitate ecological educational activities. Every autumn, the mountains are filled with bright red persimmons, complementing the ecological environment—this scene of "azure sky, yellow leaves" combined with "northern winds and red persimmons" makes it the best place for families to experience the persimmon orchard. Here, visitors can also engage in making persimmon dye and persimmon dolls, which are fun and enjoyable!
