Weijia Persimmon Cake Tourist Farm Introduction
Xinpuxi Persimmon Cake has a history of over a hundred years. Especially in Hankan, due to its geographical environment, it is particularly dry. Coupled with Hsinchu's unique strong and dry "Jiuxiang Wind," this creates the best natural conditions for making persimmon cakes. We continue to follow the traditional methods of sun exposure, Jiuxiang Wind drying, and wood charcoal roasting, preserving the ancient sweet yet non-greasy, fragrant, and chewy good taste. The sun-dried persimmon cakes are also the most beautiful scenery after the autumn harvest. At the back of the farm's hillside, there are two persimmon trees that visitors can freely explore, photograph, and learn about. Wei-Wei-Jia Persimmon Cake Tourism Farm focuses on teaching persimmon cake making and persimmon ecology education, fully presenting the process of making persimmon cakes and even preserving over 200 persimmon trees without harvesting fruit to facilitate ecological education activities. Every autumn, the mountains are filled with bright red persimmons, and combined with the ecological environment, the scenery of "blue sky and yellow leaves" along with "northern winds and red persimmons" makes it the best place for families to deeply experience the persimmon orchard. There are also activities for making persimmon dye and persimmon dolls, which are both fun and enjoyable!
