Weiwei Jia Persimmon Cake Eco-Farm Introduction
Xinpuhu Persimmon Cake has a history of over a hundred years, especially in Hankan where the geographical environment is particularly dry, combined with Hsinchu's unique strong and dry Jiujian wind, which creates the best natural conditions for making persimmon cakes. We continue to follow the ancient methods of sun-drying, Jiujian wind drying, and wood charcoal roasting to pass down the delicious taste that is sweet but not cloying and fragrant and chewy. Sun-dried persimmons are also the most beautiful sight in the autumn harvest. There are two persimmon trees planted on the hillside behind the farm, where visitors can freely explore, take photographs, and learn. Weiwei Persimmon Cake Tourist Farm is dedicated to teaching the process of making persimmon cakes and persimmon ecology, effectively showcasing the production process of persimmon cakes, and even preserving over 200 persimmon trees for ecological teaching activities. Every autumn, the mountains are filled with bright red persimmons, complemented by the ecological environment, and the scenery of "blue sky and yellow leaves" along with "northern winds and red persimmons" makes it the best place for families to deeply experience the persimmon garden. There are also activities for making persimmon dye and persimmon dolls, which are fun and enjoyable!
