Weiwei Jia Persimmon Cake Tourist Farm Introduction
Xinpu persimmons have a history of over a hundred years, particularly in Hanjing, where the geographic environment is especially dry. The unique, strong, and dry northeast monsoon winds of Hsinchu create the best natural conditions for making persimmon cakes. We continue to follow the traditional methods of sun-drying, drying with the northeast monsoon, and charcoal roasting with wood to preserve the sweet, non-greasy, and fragrant taste of the past. Sun-dried persimmons offer the most beautiful scenery during the autumn harvest, and there are two persimmon trees planted on the hillside behind the farm, where visitors can freely explore, take photos, and learn. Weiwei Jia Persimmon Cake Tourist Farm focuses on teaching how to make persimmon cakes and educating about the ecology of persimmon fruits. It fully presents the process of making persimmon cakes and has even preserved over 200 persimmon trees that are not harvested to facilitate ecological education activities. Every autumn, the mountains are filled with bright red persimmons, complemented by the beautiful ecological environment. The scenery of "blue skies and yellow leaves" and "northeast winds and red persimmons" makes it the perfect destination for families to deeply experience the persimmon orchard. There are also activities for making persimmon dye and persimmon dolls, which are fun and entertaining!
