Weichia Persimmon Cake Scenic Farm Introduction
The Xinpuhu Persimmon Cake has a history of over a hundred years, especially in Hanjheng, which, due to its geographic environment, is particularly arid. Coupled with the unique strong and dry Jioujhuang wind of Hsinchu, it provides the best natural conditions for making persimmon cakes. We still adhere to the traditional methods of sun exposure, wind drying with Jioujhuang wind, and charcoal roasting with wood, passing down the good taste that is sweet but not overly so, and fragrant and chewy. Sun-dried persimmons are also the most beautiful scenery during the autumn harvest. There are two persimmon trees planted on the hillside behind the farm, where visitors can freely explore, take photos, and learn. Weiwei Persimmon Cake Tourist Farm is known for teaching the production of persimmon cakes and the ecology of persimmon fruit, fully presenting the production process of persimmon cakes. It even preserves over 200 persimmon trees without harvesting fruits to facilitate ecological educational activities. Every autumn, the mountains are filled with bright red persimmons, creating a scene of "blue clouds, yellow leaves" combined with "north wind and red persimmons," making it the best place for families to deeply experience the persimmon orchard. There are also activities for making persimmon dyes and persimmon dolls that are fun and entertaining!
