Xinpuku Wenchang Temple Introduction

The Xinpu Wenchang Temple was built during the Daoguang era and is one of the three Wenchang temples in Hsinchu County. It was rebuilt during the Guangxu era due to its old age. The reconstructed temple served as both a study and a temple, representing the early civilized character of Xinpu. In the early years of the Republic of China, the temple was destroyed by a sudden fire, and it was actively rebuilt in the 84th year of the Republic. The main deities worshiped include Wenchang Dijun, Wenkui Dijun, Zhu Yi Shenjun, Wenheng Shengdi, and Fuyou Dijun, which are all part of Taoism's polytheistic worship.
