You are welcome to visit and explore; "Jin Yong DIY Farm" is a great place for weekend leisure fruit picking and DIY activities. If you want to see not just the common beefsteak tomato but also other rare varieties from around the world, a visit to the farm in Guanxi is a must. Jin Yong Tomato Garden is operated by Mr. Peng Jin Yong, who previously received the National Top Ten Outstanding Farmers Shennong Award. True to his name, he is a courageous and creative young man who became involved in tomato cultivation over ten years ago due to his passion for agriculture. As tomatoes grow best at temperatures between 18 to 25 degrees Celsius, the garden uses greenhouse hydroponics for planting. This hydroponic system controls temperature, moisture, and effectively prevents the growth of pathogens, thus ensuring quality and successfully cultivating many varieties not previously seen in Taiwan. Upon entering, visitors feel as though they have stepped into a magical tomato school, dazzled by the colorful array of tomatoes in various shapes and colors. Currently, there are over 20 varieties of tomatoes in the garden, sourced from countries like Japan, South Korea, the Netherlands, Italy, Israel, India, and more. Among them, the Japanese Momotaro variety has been introduced for the longest time, alongside the Dutch Golden, which has slimming properties. This is also where pioneering varieties are grown. Other popular varieties include the Dutch beefsteak tomato and the Japanese boba tomato, known for its size—many people marvel as they pick fruits while exploring, adding a lively charm to the tomato garden. Within this diverse tomato world, many are unique varieties grown only in Taiwan, such as Dutch Cream, Dutch Lemon, Dutch Sesame Green, and Dutch Kiwi, making them exclusive members of the tomato family found here, showcasing the wonders of the diverse tomato world. Here, in addition to fruit picking, you can also enjoy tomato juice, tomato popsicles, tomato ice cream, and various delicious and nutritious tomato light meals. Spend time with your family enjoying the fun of fruit picking and healthy food, creating happy memories together.
