"Jin Yong DIY Farm" will be a great place for you to enjoy fruit picking DIY on weekends. If you want to see not only regular beefsteak tomatoes but also other exotic varieties from around the world, you must visit the farm in Guanxi. Jin Yong Tomato Garden is operated by Peng Jin Yong, who has previously won the National Top Ten Outstanding Farmers' Shennong Award. True to his name, he is a young man with courage and creativity, who entered the field of tomato cultivation over ten years ago due to his passion for agriculture. As the optimal growth temperature for tomatoes is 18–25 degrees Celsius, the tomato garden adopts a greenhouse hydroponic planting method. Here, hydroponics involves soil-less cultivation, enabling control of temperature and water, and effectively preventing bacterial growth. This allows for quality control and has successfully cultivated many varieties that have never been seen in Taiwan. Upon entering for a visit, guests feel like they have stepped into a magical tomato school, enchanted by the colorful tomatoes of various shapes and colors before their eyes. The garden currently boasts over 20 varieties of tomatoes from around the world, including Japan, Korea, the Netherlands, Italy, Israel, India, and more. Among them, the Japanese Momotaro variety has been introduced the longest, while the Dutch Golden, known for its slimming effect, is a pioneer in cultivation. Other internationally popular varieties such as the Dutch Beefsteak Tomato and the Japanese Poba Tomato, known as the giant tomato, are abundant, creating a lively and interesting atmosphere as many visitors pick fruit while exploring in awe. In this diverse world of tomatoes, many unique varieties are exclusive to Taiwan, such as the Dutch Cream, Dutch Lemon, Dutch Sesame Green, and Dutch Kiwi, all members of the tomato family that can only be seen here, showcasing the wonders and intricacies of the tomato's diverse world. Here, not only can you pick fruit yourself, but you can also enjoy tomato juice, tomato popsicles, tomato ice cream, and various delicious and nutritious tomato snacks. Spend some time enjoying the joy of fruit picking and healthy food with your family and create happy memories.
