Luowu Academy Introduction
Yuzhang Hall Luo House Academy is located in an area formed by the Niulan River and Fengshan Creek, spanning a radius of about 500 to 600 meters. This beautiful natural settlement scene was captured by Chi Po-Lin in the documentary "Beyond Beauty: Taiwan from Above." The hope is to preserve the old house and pass on Hakka cultural memories such as weaving bamboo, making rice dumplings, and irrigation with waterwheels. With this intention, Luo Shilong resigned from his job, returned to his ancestral home, and joined the effort to preserve the old buildings of Guanxi. Experiencing the Hakka ancient residence, which features a unique four-square layout, in the traditional Sanheyuan style is absolutely stunning. Once the private school and residence of the Luo family, the walls are adorned with exquisite Western-style carvings, making it more decorative than an ordinary home, akin to that of a temple. The Luo House Academy now offers part of its space as a homestay, and its old-fashioned guest rooms and kitchen serve as excellent venues to experience Hakka culture. The spacious Sanheyuan courtyard can transform into a camping site, allowing children to run and play freely. Every year in July and November, visitors can enjoy the golden rice fields in the courtyard and play in the maze of the rice paddies. Info.
