Lou WU Academy Introduction
Yuzhang Hall and Luowu Academy is located within a radius of about 500 to 600 meters formed by the Niulan River and Fengshan Creek. This beautiful natural settlement was also captured by Chi Po-lin in the documentary "See Taiwan." With the hope of preserving the old house and passing on Hakka cultural memories such as weaving bamboo, making food bags, and using water wheels for irrigation, Luo Shilong returned to his ancestors' old residence, resigning from his job to join the effort to preserve the old houses in Guanxi. Experience the rural joy in a Hakka ancient house with a four-horizontal layout. The first sight of it is absolutely stunning; it was once the private school and study of the Luo family, featuring beautifully ornate Western-style carved decorations on the walls. Although it is a common residence, it has temple-level exquisite wall decorations. Luowu Academy currently opens part of its space for use as a guesthouse, with old-fashioned guest rooms and a kitchen that create the best environment for experiencing Hakka culture. The spacious Sanheyuan (quadrangular compound) and Hexing can also be transformed into a camping site, where children can run and play freely. Every year in July and November, visitors can enjoy the golden sea of rice in the courtyard and play in the maze of the paddy field. Info.
