Luowu Academy Introduction
Yuzhang Hall and Luo Wu Academy are located in a 500-600 meter radius area formed by the Niulan River and Fengshan Creek. This beautiful natural settlement scenery was captured by Chi Po-lin in his film "Beyond Beauty: Taiwan from Above." With the hope of preserving the old house and passing on Hakka cultural memories like weaving bamboo, making dumplings, and irrigating fields with waterwheels, Luo Shih-long resigned from his job and returned to his ancestors' residence to join the efforts of preserving old houses in Guanxi. The experience of living in a traditional Hakka house, which features a four-part layout, is absolutely stunning the first time you see it. Once the private school and study of the Luo family, the old residence has western-style carved decorations on the walls, showcasing exquisite wall ornaments that rival those of temples, despite being an ordinary residence. Luo Wu Academy now offers part of its space as a bed and breakfast, with traditional guest rooms and kitchens creating an excellent environment to experience Hakka culture. The spacious Sanhe courtyard can also be transformed into a camping site, where children can run freely and play. In July and November, visitors can enjoy the golden rice fields in front of the courtyard and navigate the rice paddy maze. Info.
