Rainbow Bridge Introduction
The Rainbow Bridge, measuring 167 meters in length, connects the Neihu District and the Songshan District, spanning the Keelung River. With its unique design supported by four main steel cables from the center of the bridge, it features an S-shaped curved structure with bright red steel ribs and a arch-shaped beam. The auxiliary facilities include wooden railings and pink and light blue tiles, making it a novel landmark public facility. The Rainbow Bridge is currently open only to pedestrians and bicycles, and is closed to motor vehicles. Passersby can often be seen strolling leisurely, and it serves as a shortcut between Neihu, Raohe Street Night Market, and Songshan Railway Station, greatly reducing travel time for residents between Songshan and Neihu. The bridge showcases different beauty whether by day or by night, with the lighting at night casting shadows that enhance Taipei's night scenery, making it a popular subject for photography enthusiasts capturing Taipei's night views. Additionally, a blue waterfront terminal has been established at the end of the bridge, attracting more tourists to the waterways, further establishing it as a new sightseeing landmark in Taipei City.
