The "Taichung Metropolitan Area Railway Elevated MRT Project" has undergone years of advocacy, planning, and construction. With cooperation from both central and local governments, the Taiwan Railway trains will reroute onto elevated bridges, with elevated stations simultaneously operational. The elevated railway in the Taichung metropolitan area runs from 1.9 kilometers north of Fengyuan Station to 1.4 kilometers south of Daqing Station, covering a total length of 21.7 kilometers. In addition to reconstructing 5 existing stations into elevated stations, 5 new elevated commuter stations will be built at Lilin, Toujiacuo, Songzhu, Jingwu, and Wuqian. Among them, Daqing and Songzhu stations will have a transfer station with the Taichung MRT Green Line, integrating the rail transportation network and presenting a new look for the century-old railway.

The "Taichung Metropolitan Area Railway Elevated Mass Rapid Transit Plan" has undergone years of advocacy, planning, and construction. With the cooperation of the central and local governments, Taiwan Railway trains have switched to elevated track operations, with elevated stations also coming into service. The elevated railway runs 21.7 kilometers, starting 1.9 kilometers north of Fengyuan Station and ending 1.4 kilometers south of Daqing Station. In addition to the conversion of five existing stations to elevated stations, five new elevated commuter stations are being constructed: Liling, Toujiacuo, Songzhu, Jingwu, and Wiquan. Both Daqing and Songzhu Stations will connect with the Taichung Metro Green Line, integrating the rail transport network and showcasing a new face of the century-old railway.
