Lake Jingtou War Museum Introduction
Hujingtou is located to the northwest of Lieyu, just over 5,000 meters away from Xiamen. During wartime, it, along with Mashan in the northeast corner of Greater Kinmen, Guningtou in the northwest corner, and Dadan Island, served as a former psychological warfare broadcast base. In 1988, the Hujingtou Battle History Museum was completed, resembling a fortress with ancient-style battlements and a red gate with golden studs. The plaza displays weapons such as anti-aircraft guns, 57mm anti-aircraft artillery, and machine guns, highlighting a strong wartime atmosphere. The museum features exhibits including an information service station, achievements of the Lieyu troops, the heroic figures of iron men, stories from their time stationed in Kinmen, and a listening area for soldiers’ stories, as well as an observation experience area. It preserves letters exchanged by wartime commanders, visitation photos, various equipment and weaponry used during bombardments, and practical demonstrations of munitions, along with different guided tour facilities.
