Hujingtou War History Museum Introduction
Hujingtou is located northwest of Lieyu, only more than 5,000 meters away from Xiamen. During wartime, it served as a psychological warfare broadcast base alongside Matsu in the northeast of Kinmen and Guningtou in the northwest, as well as Dadeng Island. In 1988, the Hujingtou War History Museum was completed, resembling a fortress with ancient-style battlements, red gates, and golden nails. The square displays military equipment such as anti-aircraft guns, 57mm anti-aircraft artillery, and machine guns, highlighting a strong military atmosphere. The museum features exhibits including an information service station, achievements of the Lieyu military brigade, the heroism of iron soldiers, stories from soldiers stationed in Kinmen, and an observation experience area. It preserves letters and photos from wartime commanders, as well as data on various equipment and weapons used during artillery battles, along with practical demonstrations of artillery and multimedia guides. Guided tours are available at 9:50, 10:40, 14:00, and 14:50. ◾️ Video guide: The Heroism of Iron Soldiers ◾️ Video duration: A total of 7 segments, lasting 35 minutes, with free seating for viewing.
