Hujingtou War History Museum Introduction
Hujingtou is located to the northwest of Lieyu, just over 5,000 meters from Xiamen. During wartime, it served as a psychological warfare broadcasting base along with Mashan in the northeast corner of Kinmen, Guningtou in the northwest, and Dadandao. In 1988, the Hujingtou War History Museum was completed, resembling a fortress with ancient-style battlements, red gates, and golden nails. The plaza showcases weapons such as anti-aircraft guns, 57mm anti-aircraft machine guns, and machine guns, highlighting a strong war atmosphere. Inside the museum, exhibits include an information service station, achievements of the Lieyu military division, the valor of iron soldiers, experiences of stationed troops in Kinmen, stories of soldiers that share their voices, and an observation experience area, preserving letters exchanged by wartime commanders and photos from visits, various equipment and weapon information used during artillery battles, as well as practical displays of shells and different guided tour facilities including multimedia.
