Hujingtou Battle History Museum Introduction
Hujingtou is located northwest of Lieyu, just over 5,000 meters away from Xiamen. During wartime, it served as a psychological warfare broadcast base along with Moutanshan in the northeast corner and Guningtou in the northwest corner of Kinmen, as well as Dadandao. In 1988, the Hujingtou War History Museum was completed, resembling a castle with ancient-style battlements and a red gate adorned with golden studs. The plaza displays high-caliber artillery, 57mm anti-aircraft guns, and machine guns, highlighting a strong military atmosphere. Inside the museum, exhibitions include an information service station, the achievements of the Lieyu Military Corps, the heroic spirit of iron men, stories from the days stationed in Kinmen, and a listening area to hear their voices, as well as an observation experience zone. It also preserves letters exchanged by commanders during wartime, photos from visits, data on various equipment and weapons used in shelling, and practical demonstrations of shells, along with different audio-visual guided facilities.
