Shuangkou Coastal Park Introduction
Shuangkou Coast is located about 6 kilometers from Xiamen, making it the closest beach in Kinmen to Xiamen Island. It was also the ferry point for residents of Shuangkou Village to cross to Xiamen. After 1949, it became a frontline defense area, with trenches dug around the village to prevent enemy attacks, and "railway forts" installed along the tidal line, stretching for several kilometers, creating a spectacular sight. Shuangkou Beach offers a wide view, making it a great place to watch the sunset and enjoy the night scenery of Xiamen. Its flat and expansive shoreline hosts various large-scale events each year, such as the Kinmen-Xiamen Swimming Race and the Lieyu Taro Festival, making it an ideal venue for events in Little Kinmen.
