Shuangkou Seaside Park Introduction
Shuangkou Coast is located about 6 kilometers from Xiamen, making it the closest beach in Kinmen to Xiamen Island. It was once the ferry point for residents of Shuangkou Village to cross to Xiamen. After 1949, it became a frontline military defense area. To prevent enemy attacks, combat "moats" were dug around the village, and "railroad forts" were established along the tidal line, stretching for several kilometers and forming a spectacular sight. Shuangkou Beach offers an unobstructed view, making it an excellent spot for watching sunsets and enjoying the night scenery of Xiamen. Due to its flat and expansive beach, various large events, such as the Jin-Kin Swimming Festival and the Lienchiang Taro Festival, are held here every year, making it the best location for large-scale activities in Little Kinmen.
