Zhen Guo Temple Introduction
Located on the western foothills of Jiji Mountain, this is a Buddhist temple focused on Pure Land practice. It features the World Peace Pagoda which houses a 36-foot tall statue of Shakyamuni Buddha, as well as the actual relics of Shakyamuni Buddha for public veneration. The pagoda's second floor has the only 208 prayer wheels in Taiwan, surrounded by statues of the Four Great Bodhisattvas: Guanyin, Kṣitigarbha, Samantabhadra, and Mañjuśrī, along with eighteen Arhats. The temple also enshrines a unique double-faced Amitābha Buddha preaching statue and a 42-foot tall four-armed Guanyin. The environment is tranquil and serene, and the main entrance offers a panoramic view of the beautiful scenery of Jiji Township.
