Zhenguo Temple Introduction
Located on the western foothills of Jiji Mountain, this Buddhist temple emphasizes pure land chanting and features the World Peace Pagoda, which houses a 36-foot tall statue of Shakyamuni Buddha, as well as relics of Shakyamuni Buddha for worship and viewing. The second floor of the pagoda has the only set of 208 prayer wheels in Taiwan, surrounded by statues of the four great Bodhisattvas: Guanyin, Ksitigarbha, Samantabhadra, and Manjushri, along with eighteen Arhats. The temple also enshrines a unique dual-sided Amitabha Buddha preaching statue and a 42-foot tall statue of Avalokiteshvara. The environment is serene and extraordinary, offering a panoramic view of the beautiful scenery of Jiji Township from the main gate.
