Zhen Guo Temple Introduction
At the western foothills of Jiji Mountain lies a Buddhist temple focused on pure land chanting, which houses the Pagoda of World Peace with the relics of the Buddha. Inside the pagoda, there is a 36-foot tall statue of Shakyamuni Buddha, along with the true relics of Shakyamuni Buddha for reverence and worship. The second floor of the relic pagoda features the only 208 prayer wheels in Taiwan, surrounded by statues of the four great Bodhisattvas: Avalokiteshvara, Ksitigarbha, Samantabhadra, and Manjushri, as well as eighteen Arhats. The temple also enshrines a unique double-sided Amitabha Buddha statue and a 42-foot tall four-armed Avalokiteshvara. The environment is tranquil and elegant, and the grand entrance offers a panoramic view of the beautiful scenery of Jiji Township.
