Zhen Guo Temple Introduction
Located on the western foothills of Jiji Mountain, this is a Buddhist temple dedicated to Pure Land chanting. It features the Buddha Relics World Peace Pagoda, which houses a 36-foot tall statue of Shakyamuni Buddha and the true relics of Shakyamuni Buddha available for homage and worship. The second floor of the relics pagoda has the only 208 prayer wheels in Taiwan, surrounded by statues of the four great bodhisattvas: Avalokiteshvara, Kṣitigarbha, Samantabhadra, and Mañjuśrī, as well as eighteen arhats. The temple also has a unique double-sided Amitābha preaching statue and a 42-foot tall Avalokiteshvara with four arms. The environment is tranquil and serene, offering a panoramic view of the beauty of Jiji Township from the main gate.
