Banli Beach Introduction
The fine, soft sandy beach shimmers with white light, and the straight coast is particularly precious for Matsu, which is known for its rocky shores. Banli Beach is a bay facing southeast. Every summer, it is buffeted by monsoon winds, and with the sediment brought by ocean currents, a large flat beach has accumulated over time, lying amid the blue sky and azure sea. Surrounded by Qinshi Mountain, Banshan Mountain, and Lishan Mountain, Banli Beach is the most even and spacious high-quality beach in Matsu. It connects with Wusha Beach to form a continuous coastline, with wooden walkways in between. Due to its quartz sand, the beach sparkles with a restrained white light under sunlight. Whether experiencing the beauty of sunrise or sunset, Banli Beach offers a wonderful display of light and shadow, and the changing clouds. The gently rippling waves caress the sand, making it suitable for wading and splashing, and it has gradually become a favorite spot for residents and tourists to stroll or enjoy the seaside view. This beautiful, dreamy beach is located just behind the Beigan Tourist Center. If you visit the center, be sure to take a detour to stroll along the golden sandy shore, dip your toes in the cool sea water, and relax while enjoying the sea view. The Colorful and Compact Banli Mazu Temple Not far from Banli Beach towards Baisha Harbor, there stands arguably the smallest and most miniature Mazu Temple in the world. Its brightly colored and vibrant exterior often catches the eyes of passersby, forming a stark contrast to the local simple dwellings. In front of the temple, there are two charming stone lions, and at the eaves of the temple, there are the Eye of Heaven and the Ear of the Wind. Although it is just a small temple by the seaside, it provides great surprises for visitors and serves as a visual focal point against the backdrop of the broad beach scenery. When passing by, be sure to stop by to pray for peace! Address: No. 94, Banli Village, Beigan Township, Lienchiang County.
