Banli Beach Introduction
The shining white sandy beaches and straight coastline of Banjian are particularly precious considering the rocky shores of Matsu. Banjian Beach is a bay facing southeast, and every summer it is struck by monsoon winds, combined with sediment brought by ocean currents, which over time have formed a vast, flat beach that lies amidst the blue sky and clear sea. Surrounded by Qianshan, Banshan, and Lishan, Banjian Beach is the most level and spacious high-quality beach in Matsu, connected to Wusha Beach by a continuous coastline, with a wooden boardwalk in between. Due to the quartz content in the sand, the entire beach sparkles with a subtle white glow under the sunlight, allowing visitors to experience the beauty of changing light and clouds whether watching the sunrise or sunset. The gently rolling waves caress the shore, making it suitable for playing in the water and gradually becoming a favorite place for residents and tourists to stroll or enjoy the sea view. This beautiful and dreamy beach is located behind the Beigan Visitor Center, and if you visit the visitor center, it’s worth taking a detour to walk along the continuous stretch of golden beach, feel the cool seawater, and relax while admiring the ocean scenery. Miniature and Colorful Matsu Temple Not far from Banjian Beach towards Baisha Harbor, there is a tiny and mini Matsu Temple, considered the smallest in the world. Its vibrant and colorful exterior often catches the eyes of passersby, forming a strong contrast with the local simple houses. There are two cute stone lions in front of the temple, while the eaves have the Thousand-Mile Eye and the Wind-Listening Ear. Although it is just a small temple by the sea, it brings great surprises to visitors and serves as a visual focus in the expansive beach scenery. Remember to stop by here to pray for peace!
