Banli Beach Introduction
Shining with white light, the soft sandy beach along the straight coastline is particularly precious for Matsu, known for its rocky shores. Banli Beach is a bay opening to the southeast, which gets affected by monsoon winds every summer, combined with sediment brought by ocean currents, forming a large flat beach over time, lying amidst the blue sky and sea. Surrounded by Qianshan, Banshan, and Lishan, Banli Beach is the smoothest and most extensive high-quality beach in Matsu. It connects to Wusha Beach, creating a continuous shoreline linked by a wooden boardwalk. The sand, containing quartz, sparkles with white light under the sunlight. Whether watching the sunrise or the sunset, Banli Beach allows visitors to experience the beauty of shifting light and clouds. The gently rippling waves caress the beach, making it an ideal place for water activities, and it has gradually become a popular spot for locals and tourists to stroll or admire the sea view. This beautiful and dreamy beach is located behind the Beigan Visitor Center. If you visit the visitor center, be sure to stop by the stretch of golden sands, dip your feet in the refreshing sea water, and enjoy the scenery. Small yet colorful, Banli Mazu Temple is not far from Banli Beach towards Baisha Harbor. It can be considered the smallest and most miniature Mazu Temple in the world. The brightly colored exterior often attracts the attention of passersby, creating a stark contrast with the local simple houses. In front of the temple are two cute stone lions, and on the eaves are the Thousand-Mile Eyes and the Wind-Listening Ears. Although it is just a small temple by the sea, it surprises visitors and serves as a visual highlight in the broad beach landscape. When passing this place, don’t forget to stop by to pray for peace! Address: No. 94, Banli Village, Beigan Township, Lienchiang County.
