Banli Beach Introduction
The white shimmering soft sandy beach with a straight coastline is particularly precious for Matsu, known for its rocky shores. Bankiri Beach is a bay opening to the southeast, which is buffeted by monsoon winds every summer, with silt brought by ocean currents accumulating over time to form a vast flat sandy beach lying between the blue sky and the azure sea. Surrounded by Qinshi Mountain, Banki Mountain, and Lishan Mountain, Bankiri Beach is the most level and spacious high-quality beach in Matsu, extending its coastline continuously with Wusha Beach, connected by a wooden pathway. The sand contains quartz, and when sunlight shines on it, the entire beach glistens with a subtle white light. Whether watching the sunrise or the sunset, Bankiri Beach allows visitors to experience the beauty of changing light and clouds. The gently rolling waves caress the beach, making it suitable for splashing around in the water and gradually becoming a great place for residents and tourists to stroll or admire the sea view. This beautifully dreamy beach is located behind the Beigan Visitor Center. If you visit the visitor center, it’s worth taking the time to explore the endless golden sandy shore, dipping your toes in the refreshing sea and enjoying the ocean vistas. The small yet colorful Bankiri Ma Zu Temple, known as the world's smallest and most miniature Ma Zu Temple, is located not far from Bankiri Beach towards Baisha Harbor. The vividly colorful exterior of the building often attracts the attention of passersby, forming a stark contrast with the local simple residences. There are two cute stone lions in front of the temple, and the roof features eyes that see a thousand miles and ears that hear the wind. Although it is just a small temple by the sea, it brings great surprises to visitors and serves as a visual highlight in the broad beach scenery. When passing by, don’t forget to stop by for blessings and seek peace! Address: No. 94, Bankiri Village, Beigan Township, Lienchiang County.
