Banli Beach Introduction
The fine, soft sandy beach glistening with white light and the straight coastline is particularly precious for Matsu, which is known for its rocky beaches. Banki Beach is an open bay facing southeast, which is buffeted by monsoons every summer, and with the sediment brought by the ocean currents, it has gradually formed a large, flat sandy beach over time, lying in the midst of the blue sky and clear sea. Surrounded by Qingshan, Banksan, and Lishan, Banki Beach is the most level and expansive quality beach in Matsu, connecting with Wu Sha Beach to form a continuous coastline, linked together by a wooden boardwalk. The sand, which contains quartz, shines with a subdued white glow under sunlight. Whether watching the sunrise or the sunset, Banki Beach offers a beautiful experience of changing light and clouds. The rolling waves gently caress the beach, making it suitable for splashing and enjoying the water, and it has gradually become a good place for residents and tourists to stroll or appreciate the sea view. This beautiful and dreamy beach is located behind the Beigan Visitor Center. If you visit the visitor center, it is worth taking a stroll to the golden sandy shore, dipping your feet in the cool sea water, and relaxing while enjoying the sea view. The small yet colorful Banki Mazu Temple, known as the smallest and most miniature Mazu temple in the world, is not far from Banki Beach towards Baisha Harbor. The richly colored exterior of the temple often attracts the attention of passersby, forming a striking contrast with the simple and unadorned local houses. In front of the temple are two cute stone lions, and at the eaves are the Thousand-Mile Eyes and the Wind-listening Ears. Although it is just a small temple by the sea, it gives visitors a great surprise and serves as a visual highlight of the expansive beach scenery. When passing by, feel free to come here to pray for peace and safety! Address: No. 94, Banki Village, Beigan Township, Lienchiang County.
