Beigan Visitor Center Introduction
Just a three-minute drive from Baisha Port, you will find the Beigan Visitor Center located on Dajie Street in Banli Village. Upon entering the visitor center, you will encounter a wide array of travel brochures and information, offering various travel consultations as well as video screenings and guided tours, making it the top choice for quickly replenishing your Beigan sightseeing details. In addition to the service desk, the first floor also features a souvenir shop and the only duty-free store in Beigan. If you’re feeling tired, the second floor has a light meal café that is perfect for visitors to relax, dine, and enjoy the sea view while preparing for the next leg of their Matsu journey. Video screening times are from 09:00 to 16:30, every half hour, with each session lasting about 11 minutes. To experience the early life of Matsu people, be sure to visit the "Banli Mansion" directly across from the Beigan Visitor Center. Built using the "Yingzi" and "Dingzi" construction methods, this house features an exterior of neatly arranged stone walls and an interior of original wooden construction, making it a luxurious residence of its time! After renovations, the original old outer walls have been preserved while the structural beams have been replaced. The right side of the mansion is open for visitors, while the left side serves as a traditional guesthouse. Walking through the historic wooden corridors, you may occasionally hear the familiar creaking sound of the wooden floorboards, making this an unmissable experience of Eastern Fujian architectural charm. Banli Mansion opening hours: 8:30-17:00
