Beigan Visitor Center Introduction

A three-minute drive from Baisha Harbor leads you to the Beigan Visitor Center located on Dajie Street in Banli Village. Upon entering the visitor center, you'll find a wide array of travel brochures and information, offering various travel consultations, video screenings, and guided tours to help visitors quickly gather information about Beigan's attractions—making it the top choice for the first stop in your Beigan journey. In addition to the service counter, the first floor also features a souvenir shop and the only duty-free store in Beigan. If you're feeling tired, the second floor has a café serving light meals, perfect for visitors to relax and enjoy the sea view while preparing for the next leg of their Matsu trip. Video screening times: 09:00-16:30, every half hour, with each screening lasting about 11 minutes. Reviving Old Buildings: The Century-Old Banli Residence If you want to experience the life of early Matsu residents, make sure to visit the "Banli Residence" located directly across from the Beigan Visitor Center. Built using traditional Chinese architectural techniques such as the cross-pattern and cross-section methods, the building features neatly arranged stone walls and original wooden construction inside, representing the grandeur of its era. Now renovated, it preserves the original exterior while updating the structural beams. The right side of the residence is open to visitors, while the left side serves as a guesthouse. Walking through the historical wooden corridors, you may occasionally hear the familiar creaking sound of the wooden floorboards—a must-experience aspect of Eastern Fujian architectural charm. Banli Residence opening hours: 8:30-17:00
