Luoshan Ecological Trail Introduction
Luo Mountain Nature Trail, located between the mountains and the sea, is beautifully simple. The trail spans approximately 700 meters and was originally a path frequently used by residents of Hou'ao for oyster harvesting and by anglers. It follows the cliffs and features steep steps, taking about 40 minutes round trip. Along the trail, there are two scenic viewpoints, and at the end, you can gaze upon the statue of Confucius at sea. Due to the influence of seasonal winds, the vegetation along the trail is limited, but the rare and protected Chionanthus retusus (also known as the Taiwan Cherry) can be seen everywhere. The trail has also been shaped by the northeast monsoon winds over the years, creating a unique "wind shear effect," giving the trees an elegant, bonsai-like appearance that showcases rugged beauty. Every year in April and May, wild lilies bloom beneath the trees and along the trail, creating a stunning sight. A unique rock along the coast resembles Confucius standing quietly at sea, listening to the waves and observing the ocean, which adds to the area's charm. Luo Mountain Nature Trail serves as a multifunctional path for fitness, sightseeing, wave-watching, and rock fishing, offering beautiful views of the tranquil mountains and surging seas, making it worthy of a detailed experience and appreciation. Note: The area experiences strong winds and rugged terrain, so please pay attention to your safety.
