Luoshan Nature Trail Introduction
Luo Mountain Nature Trail, located at the junction of mountains and sea, is simply beautiful. The trail is approximately 700 meters long and was originally a path commonly used by residents of Hou'ao for oyster harvesting and fishing. It is carved along the cliff with steep steps, taking about 40 minutes round trip. There are two scenic viewpoints along the way, with the endpoint offering a view of the offshore statue of Confucius. Due to the influence of seasonal winds, the growth of vegetation along the trail is limited. However, the rare and protected shrub, the Couch Grass (also known as the Chinese Bayberry), can be seen everywhere. The trail has been shaped by the long-term northeast monsoon, creating a unique "wind pruning effect," giving the trees a graceful bonsai-like appearance that showcases rugged beauty. Every April and May, wild lilies blossom under the trees and along the trail, presenting a breathtaking sight. A peculiar rock along the coast resembles the sage Confucius, standing quietly over the sea, enjoying the waves and the view, making for a delightful sight. The Luo Mountain Nature Trail is a multifunctional path that combines fitness, sightseeing, wave watching, and rock fishing. The tranquility of the mountains and the surging sea is right before your eyes, making it worth experiencing and appreciating. Note: This area has strong winds and rugged terrain, so please pay extra attention to your safety.
