Xiehe Composite Cafe Introduction
Hsyeh Ho Food Store was established in the 65th year of the Republic of China. Mr. Wang Tun-fa, the owner, apprenticed at the most renowned bakery in Matsu, "Wan Feng You" (originating from Mawei, Fujian, Mainland China), and was promoted to master pastry instructor. Later, feeling the spirit of promoting Matsu's traditional skills, he founded Hsyeh Ho Food Store in Tangqi, Beigan. For nearly forty years since its inception, Hsyeh Ho Food Store has diligently continued the tradition of Matsu's delicacies—Matsu pastries, frangipani pastries, radish cakes, golden sweet potato dumplings, and wedding pastries—beloved by locals. In recent years, in response to changes in consumer habits and market trends, the store has notably introduced the art of exquisite Western pastry making, merging the characteristics of Western desserts with traditional Taiwanese delicacies, utilizing modern equipment to broaden its business scope and further promote the traditional cuisine of Matsu.
