Victory Villa Introduction
Hidden within the mountain wall, the "Victory Mountain Villa," located beside the Qing Shui Victory Reservoir and standing behind the yellow archway, is a tunnel carved from the mountain wall. Built in December 1981, the construction process used traditional explosives and manual excavation, which was very arduous and dangerous, taking more than a year. After its completion in 1982, the Victory Mountain Villa was mainly used to provide safe accommodation for various levels of VIPs inspecting the defense zone. It is equipped with a reception hall, exhibition hall, guest rooms, and a restaurant, and the temperature inside the tunnel is quite cool. To promote military-themed tourism, the Lienchiang County government holds "Battlefield Experience" events every year. During these events, the military is invited to regularly open the site for visitors, giving them a chance to glimpse the legendary "Presidential Suite." Note: Access to military sites is limited to citizens of the country, and group (tour groups, companies, or organizations) and individual (independent travelers, backpackers) visitors can enter after their identity is verified by the management (guard) and completing the application process.
