Hidden within the mountainside, the "Victory Villa," located next to the Qingshui Victory Reservoir, stands behind a yellow archway and is a tunnel carved out of the mountainside. It was built in December 1981, using traditional blasting and manual excavation techniques during its construction, which took more than a year and was very arduous and dangerous. After its completion in 1982, the Victory Villa was primarily used to provide secure accommodations for various levels of distinguished guests visiting the defense area, featuring a reception hall, an exhibition hall, guest rooms, and a restaurant, with a cool temperature maintained inside the tunnel. To promote military-themed tourism, the Lianjiang County Government organizes "Battlefield Experience" events every year, during which the military is invited to periodically open the site for tourists, giving visitors a chance to glimpse the legendary "Presidential Suite." Note: Access to military sites is limited to domestic citizens only; groups (tourist groups, companies, or organizations) and individuals (individual tourists, backpackers) must have their identification verified by the management (guards) and complete an application to enter for a visit.
