Victory Villa Introduction
Hidden within the mountain wall, "Victory Lodge" is located next to the Qingshui Victory Reservoir, standing behind a yellow archway. It is a tunnel that was excavated from the mountain wall, built in December 1981. The construction at that time utilized traditional blasting techniques and manual digging, making the process very arduous and dangerous, taking over a year to complete. After its completion in 1982, Victory Lodge primarily served to provide secure accommodation for dignitaries inspecting the defense area, equipped with a reception hall, exhibition hall, guest rooms, and a restaurant, with a cool temperature inside the tunnel. To promote military-themed tourism, the Lienchiang County Government organizes "battlefield experience" activities every year. During these events, military personnel regularly open the site for tourists to visit, giving them a chance to catch a glimpse of the legendary "Presidential Suite." Note: Access to military sites is limited to citizens of Taiwan; groups (tourist groups, companies, or organizations) and individual visitors (independent travelers, backpackers) must have their identities verified by the guards and complete the application process to enter for a visit.
