Hidden in the Mountain Wall, the "Victory Villa," located next to the Qing Shui Victory Reservoir, stands behind a yellow archway. It is a tunnel excavated from the mountain wall, built in December 1981. During the excavation, traditional explosives and manual digging were used, making the process very arduous and dangerous, taking over a year. After its completion in 1982, the Victory Villa primarily served as safe accommodation for various levels of VIPs inspecting the defense zone, equipped with a reception hall, exhibition hall, guest rooms, and restaurant, with a very cool temperature inside the tunnel. To promote military-themed tourism, the Matsu County Government holds "Battlefield Experience" activities each year, during which the military is invited to regularly open the site for tourist visits, allowing visitors a chance to glimpse the legendary "Presidential Suite." Note: Access to military sites is limited to nationals only. Group (tour groups, companies, or agencies) and individual (walk-in, backpacker) tourists must have their identities verified by the management (guards) and complete an application to enter for a visit.
