Hidden within the mountainside, the "Victory Lodge" is located next to the Qingshui Victory Reservoir, standing behind a yellow archway. It is a tunnel excavated from the mountainside, built in December 1981. During the excavation period, traditional explosives and manual labor were employed, making the process very arduous and dangerous, taking more than a year to complete. After its completion in 1982, the Victory Lodge was mainly used to provide secure accommodations for various levels of distinguished guests inspecting the defense area. It is equipped with a reception hall, exhibition hall, guest rooms, and a restaurant, and the temperature inside the tunnel remains quite cool. To promote military-themed tourism, the Matsu County Government organizes "Battlefield Experience" activities every year. During these events, the military is invited to open the site for visitors, giving them a chance to glimpse the legendary mysterious "Presidential Suite." Note: Access to military sites is limited to nationals only. Groups (tour groups, companies, or agencies) and individuals (independent travelers, backpackers) must have their identities verified by the management (guards) before completing the application to enter for visits.
