Hometown Traditional Delicious Seafood Noodles Introduction
"Traditional Hometown Delicacies" seafood noodles was established in 2010, but its history dates back to 1999. The owner, Chen Qiuli (born in 1969), is from Tuchengzi in Annan District. After marrying and moving to Sangu, she was employed at the Tainan Yicheng Fish and Mullet Soup Shop. Due to long working hours and the inability to care for her children, she resigned and opened a noodle stall in front of the Longde Temple in Sangu, selling fish mullet soup noodles. Because of the busy work with the oil broth, she asked her sister-in-law Chen Yuxia for help with looking after her children. Originally, Chen Qiuli only sold fish mullet soup noodles, but some customers did not like the thickened soups. Considering that Tainan is a location for milkfish, which is easily and freshly sourced, she began selling seafood noodles and seafood rice. In 2010, Chen Qiuli moved back to Tuchengzi but continued to sell noodles at her stall in Sangu, commuting daily between Tuchengzi and Sangu, along with the challenges of picking up her children. Eventually, she decided to transfer the stall to her sister-in-law Chen Yuxia and started anew across from the Tuchengzi market, where she continues to operate "Traditional Hometown Delicacies."
