Hometown Traditional Delicious Seafood Noodles Introduction
"Homeland Traditional Delicacies" Seafood Noodles was established in 2010, but its history began in 1999. The owner, Chen Qiuli (born 1969), is from Tuchengzi in Annan District. After marrying and moving to Sangu, she worked at the Tainan Yicheng Fish Mackerel Soup Restaurant. Due to long working hours and the inability to take care of her children, she quit her job and opened a noodle stall in front of the Longde Temple in Sangu, selling fish mackerel soup noodles. As the work was busy with the oily soup, she asked her sister-in-law Chen Yuxia to help take care of the children. Initially, Chen Qiuli only sold fish mackerel soup noodles, but some customers did not prefer the thickened soup. Realizing that Tainan is a local producer of milkfish and that the ingredients were easy to obtain and fresh, she decided to also sell seafood noodles and seafood rice. In 2010, Chen Qiuli moved back to Tuchengzi but continued to sell noodles at the Sangu stall, commuting daily between Tuchengzi and Sangu, which became increasingly difficult with the issue of picking up her children. Ultimately, she decided to transfer the noodle stall to her sister-in-law Chen Yuxia and started a new venture, opening the "Homeland Traditional Delicacies" noodle stall opposite the Tuchengzi market, continuing her business.
