"Traditional Hometown Delicacies" Seafood Noodle started in 2010, but its history dates back to 1999. The owner, Chen Qiuli (born in 1969), is from Tuchengzi in Annan District. After getting married in Sanku, she worked at Tainan Yicheng Fish Mullet Soup Restaurant. Due to long working hours and her inability to take care of her children, she resigned and opened a noodle stall in front of Longde Temple in Sanku, selling fish mullet soup noodles. As the work was busy due to the oily soup, she enlisted her sister-in-law, Chen Yuxia, to help take care of the children. Initially, Chen Qiuli only sold fish mullet soup noodles, but some customers did not prefer thickened soups. Considering that Tainan is a local production area for milkfish, making ingredients easy to obtain and fresh, she changed to selling seafood noodles and seafood rice. In 2010, Chen Qiuli moved back to Tuchengzi, but still traveled to the Sanku noodle stall to sell noodles daily. Juggling between Tuchengzi and Sanku, along with the issue of picking up her children, she decided to transfer the noodle stall to her sister-in-law Chen Yuxia and started anew by opening a noodle stall named "Traditional Hometown Delicacies" across from the Tuchengzi market, continuing her business.
