Bada Tower Introduction
The famous landmark Ba Da Lou Zi, located at the intersection of Jiu Jing Road and Ba Qing Road on Lieyu Island, is a castle-like structure towering several dozen meters high. On top of the building, there are seven statues of brave soldiers positioned defensively, each holding grenades or machine guns. These statues commemorate seven heroes who heroically defended the pass at Gubeikou of the Great Wall during the Second Sino-Japanese War in 1933. After killing hundreds of enemies, they were sacrificed bravely while successfully completing their mission. Surrounding Ba Da Lou Zi are short walls with prominent slogans inscribed, such as "Independent Operations," "Self-Reliance," "Persevere Until the End," and "Fight for Survival," highlighting the determination to resist a multitude of enemies and protect the nation and its people at the front lines.
