Bada Tower Introduction
The famous Bada Tower is located at the intersection of Jiujing Road and Baqing Road in Lieyu. It is a castle-like structure approximately dozens of feet tall, featuring seven heroic warrior statues positioned in a defensive stance on the rooftop, each holding a grenade or a machine gun. This monument was erected to commemorate the seven brave warriors who, during the Anti-Japanese War in 1933, defended the ancient Great Wall at Gubeikou, killing hundreds of enemies before making the ultimate sacrifice and successfully completing their mission. The short walls surrounding Bada Tower are inscribed with bold slogans embodying the spirit of resistance: "Independent Operations," "Self-Reliance," "Perseverance," and "Survival at All Costs," highlighting the determination to defend the nation and its people amidst enemy forces on the front lines.
