Bada Tower Introduction
The famous landmark BADA Tower is located at the intersection of Jiujing Road and Baqing Road in Lieyu. It is a castle-like structure, standing several dozen meters tall, with seven statues of brave soldiers positioned at the top, each holding a grenade or machine gun in a combat readiness stance. This monument commemorates the seven warriors who valiantly defended the ancient Great Wall at Gubeikou in 1933 during the Anti-Japanese War, successfully completing their mission after killing hundreds of enemies before sacrificing their lives. Surrounding the short walls on all four sides of BADA Tower are large slogans embodying the spirit: "Independent Operations," "Self-Reliance," "Perseverance," and "Survival Against All Odds," emphasizing the determination to resist the enemy and protect the country and its people on the front lines.
