Bada Tower Introduction
The famous landmark Bada Tower, located at the roundabout where Jiujing Road and Baqing Road intersect in Lieyu, is a castle-like structure standing several tens of meters tall. Atop the tower, there are seven statues of brave soldiers positioned defensively, each holding grenades or machine guns. This construction commemorates the seven warriors who valiantly defended the ancient Great Wall at Gubeikou during the Anti-Japanese War in 1933, successfully completing their mission despite facing overwhelming odds and sacrificing their lives after killing hundreds of enemies. Surrounding Bada Tower are short walls inscribed with large slogans embodying the spirit of resistance: "Independent Operations," "Self-Reliance," "Perseverance," and "Survival at All Costs," highlighting the determination to defend the nation and its people against numerous foes on the front lines.
