Beishan Cliff Introduction
Beishan Cliff stands like a red wall on the northern coast of Guningtou, with the wind-battered Casuarina forest on its summit and a line of anti-landing stakes along the coastline, showcasing its rugged terrain. During the Guningtou Battle in 1949, the fierce clashes between the Nationalist and Communist forces left a bloody scene that has now become history. The Guningtou War Museum features a large oil painting memorializing this battlefield. Today, this area presents new tourism opportunities with its unique Cat Rock landscape, tranquil beaches, famous oyster beds, and horseshoe crab protection zones.
