Beishan Cliff Introduction
Beishan Cliff stands like a red high wall on the northern coast of Guningtou, with a forest of Casuarina trees at the cliff's edge facing the wind, and rows of anti-landing stakes along the coastline, showcasing its rugged terrain. In 1949, during the Battle of Guningtou, fierce and tragic fighting between the Nationalist and Communist armies took place here, which has now become history. The Guningtou Battle Museum commemorates this battlefield with large-scale oil paintings. Today, this area presents new tourist opportunities with its unique Cat Rock landscape, tranquil beaches, well-known oyster farming fields, and horseshoe crab protection zones.
