Beishan Cliff Introduction
Beishan Cliff stands like a red wall along the northern coast of Guningtou, surrounded by a forest of Casuarina trees at the cliff top, opposed to the wind, and lined with anti-landing stakes along the coastline, showcasing its rugged terrain. During the Guningtou War in 1949, fierce battles took place here between the Nationalists and the Communists, which have now become history. The Guningtou War Museum features large oil paintings commemorating this battlefield. Today, this area presents new tourism opportunities with its unique Catong Stone landscape, tranquil beaches, famous stone oyster fields, and horseshoe crab protection zones.
