The proud handmade surprise, Angela and Eric, were originally just colleagues, but their shared passion for baking encouraged them to start a business together. Initially, they began as a studio, but wanting to see the happy smiles of their customers after enjoying the food led them to transform into a café and dessert shop, embarking on a new journey with “Aoman Handmade Baking Workshop.” All the desserts and breads in the shop are made personally by the two of them, and the time before opening each day is dedicated to crafting pastries. They specialize in handmade mille-feuille cakes, layered with different ingredients to create delightful flavors. The desserts are based on refreshing whipped cream with lowered sweetness to ease the digestive burden; the popular limited daily breads are fermented using their personally cultivated yeast. The most popular drink, “Coffee Lemonade,” combines single-origin coffee with freshly squeezed lemon juice and black sugar syrup, with the rim coated in granulated sugar, adding a sweet and sour surprise to the coffee, making it as addictive as a cocktail—making it a must-try item in the summer.
