Correctional Institution 1921 Introduction
The dormitory located at No. 19 and No. 21, Lane 134, Weixin Road, serves as the management center for public-private cooperation and is named "Correction School 1921 - Old Prison 134 Operation Center," reflecting that the main building of the Old Prison in Chiayi was constructed in 1921. The dormitory complex of the Old Prison in Chiayi has transformed into a wooden culture work cluster, not only recreating the spatial structure, layout features, garden lawns, and winding paths of wooden houses but also utilizing smart technology for detection and remote control equipment to prevent fire disasters and intrusions, making it the first historic building in Taiwan to introduce a customized smart disaster prevention system.
