Correctional School 1921 Introduction
The dormitories at No. 19 and No. 21, Lane 134, Weixin Road, serve as a public-private partnership operational management center, and are thus named "Correction Academy 1921 - Old Prison 134 Operational Center." The construction of the old prison in Chiayi dates back to 1921. The dormitory complex has been transformed into a wood culture work settlement, which not only restores the spatial structure and layout characteristics of wooden houses, along with gardens and winding paths, but also utilizes smart technology for detection and remote control systems to prevent fire hazards and intrusion. It is the first old building in Taiwan to introduce a customized smart disaster prevention system.
