Jiao Zheng Ju 1921 Introduction
The dormitories at "Lane 134, No. 19 and No. 21, Weixin Road" serve as the operation and management center for a public-private partnership, hence the name "Correctional Institute 1921 - Old Prison 134 Operation Center." The construction of the old prison in Chiayi dates back to 1921. The Chiayi Old Prison dormitory complex has been transformed into a wooden cultural work settlement, not only restoring the spatial structure and layout characteristics of wooden houses, garden lawns, and winding paths, but also utilizing smart technology for detection and remote control equipment to prevent the risks of fire and intrusion by petty criminals, making it the first old house in Taiwan to implement a customized smart disaster prevention system.
