Correctional Institute 1921 Introduction
The dormitories at No. 19 and No. 21, Lane 134, Weixin Road, serve as an operation management center for public-private partnerships, thus named "Correctional Academy 1921 - Old Prison 134 Operation Center." The old prison in Chiayi was constructed around 1921. The dormitory complex has been transformed into a wooden culture work settlement, which not only restores the spatial structure and layout characteristics of wooden houses, courtyards, and winding paths, but also utilizes smart technology for detection and remote control equipment to prevent fire disasters and intrusions. It is the first old building in Taiwan to implement a customized smart disaster prevention system.
