Correction School 1921 Introduction
The dormitories located at No. 19 and No. 21, Lane 134, Weixin Road, serve as the operation and management center for public-private partnership, hence named "Correction Institute 1921 - Old Prison 134 Operation Center." The construction year of the old prison in Chiayi coincidentally aligns with 1921. The dormitory area of the old prison in Chiayi has been transformed into a wood culture work settlement, which not only recreates the spatial structure, layout features, garden lawns, and winding paths of wooden houses, but also employs smart technology for detection and remote control equipment to prevent the threat of fire and intrusion by intruders. It is the first old building in Taiwan to introduce a customized smart disaster prevention system.
