Koo Bo Handmade Rice Noodles Introduction
Gu Bo Mi Tai Mu is a popular snack shop located on Minquan Old Street in Sanxia, highly praised by food enthusiasts. Many people assume that the owner, Gu Guohuang, must have decades of culinary skills to make the rice noodles so exquisite. In fact, over a decade ago, Gu was a well-known tailor on Sanxia Old Street. However, facing the challenges of the evolving ready-to-wear market, he decided to apprentice in Hsinchu to learn the craft. With the determination characteristic of Hakka people, he has created delicious traditional Hakka rice noodles. Over the past decade, he has built a reputation on the old street, and now, to enjoy a bowl of flavorful rice noodles at Gu Bo's shop, one sometimes has to wait outside for a seat.
