Garnet Creative Arts Space Introduction
A visit to Sanxia is not only about experiencing Sanxia Old Street and its local delicacies; recently, a vibrant space filled with cultural and artistic energy has emerged — "Guanlo Cultural & Creative Space." Reconstructed from old buildings, Guanlo boasts a fresh and pleasant exterior, while its interior showcases the creative outcomes resulting from the fusion of artists’ work and local artifacts, embodying the unique atmosphere of Sanxia and serving as a distinctive resting place. Monthly, it hosts small-scale performances including film screenings and concerts. The founder of Guanlo, Lin Jun-Cheng, is a native of Sanxia who places great importance on integrating Taiwan's local environment, communities, and industries. Guanlo stems from this concept: recognizing the culture of one's hometown and committing to local development, encouraging more people to discover the beauty of this land. Returning to his roots, he started from scratch to collect beautiful elements of life, combine and package them into narratives, and integrate community building, creative products, cultural performances, and dining services, even offering parent-child interactive ecological education courses. Additionally, since September 2010, Guanlo has published the independent magazine "Guanlo Cultural & Creative Space," featuring content on social issues, local culture, and artistic information, aiming to further promote the "Guanlo spirit."
