Sanxia Arch Bridge Introduction
The Sanxia Arch Bridge, a unique landmark of Sanxia alongside the Zushi Temple, was constructed on October 7, 1932, during the Showa period of Japanese rule, and was completed on June 28, 1933. It served as a vital transportation artery for external communication at that time. Standing on the arch bridge, one can observe the natural environment of Sanxia; below the bridge runs the important Sanxia River, and looking upstream, the majestic Yuanshan Mountain rises ahead. On the right side, the dense buildings mark the town center of the area. The bridge's design is inspired by three interconnected rainbows, hence it is also known as Rainbow Bridge. Its elegant and simple shape was once a major route for external communication in the Sanxia area. Although the prominence of water transportation has diminished, the bridge still retains its charm, especially when illuminated at night, creating the appearance of three rainbows lighting up the entire Sanxia area, radiating a unique rustic beauty.
