三峽拱橋近照

The Sanxia Arch Bridge, along with the Zushi Temple, is a unique landmark of Sanxia. It was constructed on October 7, 1932, during the Showa era of Japanese rule, and was completed on June 28, 1933. It served as a vital access route for transportation at that time. Standing on the arch bridge, one can observe the distinctive natural features of Sanxia, with the Sanxia River running underneath, an important stream in the area. Looking upstream, the towering Yuanshan Mountain can be seen ahead, while to the right, the area is densely populated with buildings, constituting the district's market center. The bridge is designed with the concept of three interconnected rainbows, thus it is also known as the Rainbow Bridge. Its elegant and simple appearance made it the primary access road for external communication in the Sanxia area. Although the prominence of the Rainbow Bridge has diminished with the decline of water transport, its charm remains intact. Especially at night, illuminated by lights, it resembles three rainbows brightening the entire Sanxia area, exuding a unique rustic beauty.
