Jin San Xia - Bi Luo Chun Tea Egg Roll Set (2012 Specialty Souvenir) Introduction
In the early days of Taiwan when resources were scarce, tea farmers often assembled large tea bags using ready-made fertilizer bags and flour bags. This burlap bag for the gift set is a mini version of those. It reflects the early days of agricultural cooperatives during the Japanese colonial period. The tea advertisement designed by Sanxia artist Li Meishu, the flour bag from the Sino-American cooperation after the restoration of Taiwan, and the collage of these elements create an image of Sanxia’s tea history and its unique tea varieties.
