In its early days, Grandpa Cherry was just a small bakery located in Jingmei Wanlong, dedicated to providing the freshest bread and cakes to local residents every day. Later, in response to the demand during the festive season, they learned to make nougat, developing a recipe that uses almonds, which have a higher health value compared to traditional high-calorie peanuts. In the later stages, the focus shifted to the production of nougat, jujube walnut cakes, and other Chinese snack gifts. Grandpa Cherry believes that "eating is a conscientious business." He drives a small truck into remote areas to seek out unique local produce nurtured by small farmers across Taiwan.
