Xindian Cultural and Historical Museum Introduction
The "Xindian Cultural History Museum," affiliated with the Xindian Library, is located within Magong Park. This 120 ping exhibition space not only features a permanent exhibition of historical artifacts from past residents (who are primarily descendants of immigrants from the Minnan Zhangquan region) and historical materials on the development of the Greater Xindian area, but it also hosts thematic special exhibitions that change every six months. With free admission, the "Xindian Cultural History Museum" collaborates with local educational institutions for place-based education, often welcoming students for visits. The museum's collection largely consists of artifacts dating back to the Qing Dynasty, Japanese Colonial Period, and the Republic of China era, generously provided by thirty-eight enthusiastic residents of the Xindian area. Currently, the collection includes over 620 items, with static displays primarily focused on "images." For dynamic exhibitions, the displays are categorized into several sections, including the Qing Dynasty, Japanese Colonial Period, early post-liberation period, modern Xindian, and future Xindian, featuring seven major display areas such as the "Bamboo Snake Cage Area," "Waterwheel Area," "Telephone Mechanism Exhibit Area," and "Architectural Design Exhibit Area."
