Xindian Cultural and Historical Museum Introduction
The "Xindian Cultural and Historical Museum," affiliated with the Xindian Library, is located within Magong Park. Spanning 120 ping, the exhibition space features a permanent exhibit showcasing artifacts from the lives of early residents (most of whom are descendants of immigrants from the Minnan Zhangquan region) and historical materials related to the development of the Greater Xindian area. Additionally, there are thematic exhibitions that change every six months. Admission to the "Xindian Cultural and Historical Museum" is free, and it collaborates with local educational institutions on local education, leading to regular student visits. The museum's collection includes documents and artifacts mainly used by ancestors during the Qing Dynasty, Japanese colonial period, and the Republic of China era, provided by thirty-eight enthusiastic residents of the Xindian area. Currently, the collection comprises over six hundred items, with static exhibits centered on "images." For dynamic displays, the museum is divided into sections on the Qing Dynasty, the Japanese colonial era, the early post-Liberation period, modern Xindian, and future Xindian, featuring seven major display areas including "Bamboo Snake Cage Area," "Waterwheel Area," "Telephone Mechanism Exhibition Area," and "Architectural Design Exhibition Area."
