Xindian Cultural and Historical Museum Introduction
The "Xindian Cultural and Historical Museum," affiliated with the Xindian Library, is located within Magong Park. Covering an area of 120 Ping, the exhibition space features a permanent display of artifacts from past residents (most of whom are descendants of migrants from the Minnan Zhangqun region) and historical resources related to the development of the Greater Xindian area. Additionally, the museum hosts special exhibitions with changing themes every six months. Admission is free, and the "Xindian Cultural and Historical Museum" collaborates with local educational institutions for place-based education, leading to frequent visits by students. The collections primarily consist of artifacts used by ancestors during the Qing Dynasty, the Japanese occupation, and the Republic of China era, provided by thirty-eight enthusiastic community members from the Xindian area. Currently, the museum's collection is recorded to have over 620 items, with static exhibitions focusing on "images" as the main theme. For dynamic displays, the museum is divided into several sections representing the Qing Dynasty, Japanese occupation period, early post-recovery period, modern Xindian, and future Xindian, with seven major exhibition zones including "Bamboo Snake Cage Area," "Waterwheel Area," "Telephone Mechanism Exhibition Area," and "Architectural Design Exhibition Area."
