Xindian Cultural and Historical Museum Introduction
The "New Taipei City Cultural and Historical Museum," affiliated with the Xindien Library, is located within Magong Park. It features a 120-ping exhibition space that includes a permanent exhibition displaying artifacts from the lives of ancestors (many residents of the Xindien area are descendants of immigrants from the Minnan Zhangquan region) and historical materials regarding the development of the Greater Xindien area. Additionally, there are themed temporary exhibitions that change every six months. Admission to the "New Taipei City Cultural and Historical Museum" is free, and it collaborates with local educational institutions for local education, resulting in student visits. The collection includes documents and artifacts primarily from the Qing Dynasty, Japanese colonial period, and the Republic of China era, provided by thirty-eight enthusiastic residents of the Xindien area. Currently, the museum's collection consists of over six hundred items, with static displays centered around "images." The dynamic displays are categorized into several sections: Qing Dynasty, Japanese colonial era, early post-war period, modern Xindien, and future Xindien, along with seven major display areas including "Bamboo Snake Cage Area," "Waterwheel Area," "Telephone Exhibit Area," and "Architectural Design Exhibit Area."
