Xindian Cultural and Historical Museum Introduction
The "Xindian Cultural and Historical Museum," which belongs to the Xindian Library, is located within Magong Park. The 120 ping exhibition space features a permanent display of historical objects from past residents (who are primarily descendants of immigrants from the Minnan Zhangquan area) and cultural and historical materials on the development of the Greater Xindian area. Additionally, there are temporary exhibitions with changing themes held every six months. The entrance to the "Xindian Cultural and Historical Museum" is free, and it collaborates with local educational institutions for community education, frequently welcoming student visits. The museum's collection includes documents and artifacts mainly used by ancestors during the Qing Dynasty, Japanese rule, and the Republic of China era, contributed by thirty-eight enthusiastic residents of the Xindian area. As of now, the collection consists of over six hundred items, with the static exhibition focusing on "images" as the main display theme. For dynamic displays, the sections are divided into the Qing Dynasty, the Japanese colonial period, the early post-war period, modern Xindian, and future Xindian, with seven major exhibition areas, including "Bamboo Snake Cage Area," "Waterwheel Area," "Telephone Mechanism Exhibition Area," and "Architectural Design Exhibition Area."
