Amei Hotel Introduction
Amei Hotel is renowned for its signature dish, Clay Pot Duck. Established for over 30 years, its specialty is that the meat is cooked to tenderness without being sticky, and the broth has a sweet flavor. In addition to the duck, the cabbage is another highlighted feature; the cabbage in the Clay Pot Duck absorbs the oil and tastes excellent with white rice. The broth is brewed from pork bones, and then the cabbage is simmered until thoroughly soft. A medium tender duck weighing around 3.5 kg is slightly deep-fried and placed in the clay pot with tofu, shredded meat, flat fish, quail eggs, straw mushrooms, and golden needles, then simmered over low heat for about 2 hours to complete the dish.
