Amei Hotel Introduction
Amei Hotel is well-known for its signature dish, clay pot duck, and has a history of over 30 years. The unique feature is that the meat is cooked very tender but does not stick to the mouth, and the broth has a sweet flavor. In addition to the duck, cabbage is another highlight; the cabbage in the clay pot duck absorbs the oil and is incredibly delicious when paired with white rice. The broth for the clay pot duck is made by simmering pork bones, then the cabbage is placed in the pot to stew until tender. A medium-sized tender duck, weighing about 3.5 kg, is lightly fried and then combined with tofu, shredded meat, flatfish, quail eggs, straw mushrooms, and enoki mushrooms in the clay pot, simmered on low heat for about 2 hours to complete the dish.
