Wenfeng Tea House Introduction
The ancestors of the Chen family immigrated from Quanzhou, Fujian during the Qing Tongzhi period and settled next to the "Wu Garden" of the wealthy businessman Wu Shangxin in Fangqiao. It has a history of 138 years. Until the third generation, Wenfeng Tea House was passed down through generations, and starting from the fourth generation, it was handed over in order by brothers and sisters, first from the fourth generation Chen Fulun to his eldest son Chen Yulin, then taken over by his sister who managed it for more than twenty years before passing it on to the current sixth generation, Chen Yuxiong and Huang Yumei couple. The shop is small but is furnished with various antique tea utensils, tea cakes, old tea barrels, and other tea artifacts.
