A-Hsia Restaurant Introduction

The founder of "A-Hsia Hotel," Ms. Wu Jingxia, was unable to continue her education due to family financial issues, and she went to help at her father's "fan table" to support the family and nurture her siblings. After the war, she moved to the Central Market, near the current National Flower Building, selling fried meatballs, large intestines, pig intestines, and shrimp rolls. Due to the prime location and delicious flavors, she gradually gained a reputation, and many well-known politicians from Tainan became regular customers. In the 72nd year of the Republic (1983), the restaurant was relocated to its current site and officially named "A-Hsia Hotel." At that time, it gained widespread fame after the visit of former President Chiang Ching-kuo, becoming a must-visit place for future presidents, political figures, and celebrities when they came to Tainan.
