Ah Xia Restaurant Introduction

A-Hsia Restaurant was founded by Ms. Wu Jin-Hsia, who, due to family financial circumstances, was unable to continue her education and helped out at her father's "rice table", maintaining the family budget and raising her younger siblings. After the war, they relocated near the Central Market, now close to Guohua Building, selling fried meatballs, large intestines, pig intestines, and shrimp rolls. Due to its prime location and great taste, it gradually gained fame, becoming a favorite among many notable political figures in Tainan. In 1983, the restaurant moved to its current location and was officially named A-Hsia Restaurant. It became very well-known after a visit from former President Chiang Ching-kuo, turning it into a must-visit place for future presidents, politicians, and celebrities when they came to Tainan.
