Ah-Hsia Restaurant Introduction
The founder of "A-Hsia Restaurant," Ms. Wu Jin-Hsia, was unable to continue her education due to family financial reasons and helped out at her father's "fan table," supporting her family while nurturing her siblings. After the war, they moved to an area near the Central Market, now known as Guohua Building, where they sold deep-fried meatballs, large intestines, pig intestines, and shrimp rolls. Due to the good location and delicious flavors, the restaurant gradually gained popularity, drawing many well-known political figures from Tainan as regular customers. In 1983, they moved to the current location and officially named it "A-Hsia Restaurant." At that time, it gained nationwide fame due to the visit of former President Chiang Ching-kuo, becoming a must-visit spot for future Presidents of Taiwan and other political and entertainment celebrities when they come to Tainan.
