A-Hsia Restaurant Introduction
The founder of "Ah Xia Restaurant," Ms. Wu Jin Xia, was unable to continue her education due to financial reasons and went to help at her father's "rice table" to support the family and nurture her siblings. After the war, they moved to the vicinity of the Central Market, now near the Guohua Building, selling deep-fried meatballs, large intestines, vermicelli sausages, shrimp rolls, and more. Due to its prime location and delicious flavors, the restaurant gradually gained popularity, attracting many well-known politicians from Tainan as regular customers. In 1983, it relocated to its current site and officially adopted the name "Ah Xia Restaurant." At that time, it gained widespread fame in Taiwan due to a visit by former President Chiang Ching-kuo, making it a must-visit spot for future Taiwanese presidents, political figures, and celebrities when they came to Tainan.
