Aijia Cheng Shrimp Rice Introduction

The origin of the name "Aizai Cheng" comes from Mr. Ye's single name Cheng, as he is not tall, and customers at that time referred to him with the nickname "Aizai Cheng," which has now become widely known as Aizai Cheng Shrimp Rice. Aizai Cheng Shrimp Rice originated in 1922, when the first generation owner Ye Cheng learned his craft at a Japanese restaurant called "Mingyue Lou" during the Japanese colonial period. He later started his own business as a small stall selling Japanese cuisine, developing a unique and delicious shrimp rice based on Japanese flavors and setting up a stall at the Ximen Market. After several relocations, it took root along the roadside on Zhongzheng Road and Hai'an Road, commonly referred to as Xintian.
