The origin of "Senmao Rice Cake" is known by older generations, as it is named after Mr. Chen Senmao, who once served as a confidential secretary in Tainan City. Since 1977, it has been sold to the present day. Its unique flavor, aromatic and chewy texture, has gained acclaim from customers in the city. Over the years, as time passed and Mr. Chen Senmao passed away, people no longer remember this political figure. However, the popularity at "Senmao Rice Cake" at the intersection of Kaishan Road and Datong Road remains strong.
