Shanli Aiyu Jelly Ice Introduction
Unlike the fake aiyu made from bird's nest powder, the aiyu here is genuine and made from fresh aiyu fruits. To make pure aiyu, the following steps are needed: first, the aiyu fruit is picked and split open. Then it is sun-dried until the pulp inside is completely dry. After that, the aiyu seeds are extracted from the fruit and placed inside a special cloth, which is then kneaded in water to wash out the sticky "aiyu jelly." Finally, the aiyu jelly is placed in a bucket of water, and after 50 minutes, it will solidify into a wobbly, plump aiyu! The fenz (a type of pudding) here is also quite famous; unlike others, the fenz here is white and does not contain coloring agents (while typical fenz appears yellow due to added coloring).
