Shangfu Snack Shop Introduction
Originally located at the old Dongmen Roundabout, the restaurant started serving oil soup, and after its demolition in 1968, it moved to the wall beside Xiaonan Elementary School and Shih Hsin University. No matter during lunch or dinner time, there is always a long queue. When asked about the restaurant's specialties, the owner simply replied, "We insist on using fresh pork." The braised pork rib rice and curry rice, both priced at NT$55, and the lunch set priced at NT$110 have been part of the restaurant's legacy since its inception. The lunch set is similar to a combo meal, featuring a salad, fried fish, fried shrimp, and fried pork chop. In addition to the four signature dishes, the restaurant also offers three types of soup: "Chuanxiong Brain Soup, Pork Rib Soup, and Miso Soup," which are definitely worth a try.
