Shangfu Snack Shop Introduction
Originally located at the old Dongmen traffic circle, the restaurant provided deep-fried food. It was moved to the wall beside Xiaonan and the National Taichung University of Education after being dismantled in 1968. Regardless of lunch or dinner time, there is always a long queue. When asked about the restaurant's specialties, the owner was straightforward: "We insist on using fresh pork." The stewed pork ribs rice for NT$55, curry rice for NT$55, and the set meal for NT$110 are among the restaurant's traditional specialties passed down since its establishment. The set meal is similar to a combo that includes a fresh salad, fried fish, fried shrimp, and fried pork cutlet. Besides the four signature dishes, there are three soup options: "Chuanxiong brain soup, pork rib soup, and miso soup," which are also highly recommended to try.
