Shan Mei Zheng Ji was established in 1953, originally located at the East Gate Roundabout in Tainan City. Upholding the spirit of 60 years, it retains traditional local flavors. With over half a century of dedication, we adhere to the philosophy of using fresh ingredients and maintaining hygienic processes, presenting to you our proudly served bowl rice pudding and fish soup since the day we opened. Shan Mei Zheng Ji offers only two dishes: bowl rice pudding and fish soup. The bowl rice pudding is made from specially selected indigenous rice ground into a skin, paired with minced meat, shrimp, shiitake mushrooms, and salted egg yolk. The fish soup utilizes Tainan's specialty fish, the milkfish and black marlin, prepared to create a sweet flavor and a chewy, crispy texture. The bowl rice pudding at Shan Mei Zheng Ji is made from specially selected indigenous rice combined with savory minced meat, pork hind leg, shrimp, shiitake mushrooms, and salted egg yolk. The taste of Shan Mei Zheng Ji is simple and genuine, evoking memories of hometown flavors. Our fish soup combines Tainan's specialty milkfish with black marlin, creating a fish soup we take pride in.
