Shanmei Zhengji was established in 1953, originally located at the Dongmen Roundabout in Tainan City. Continuing the spirit of the past 60 years, it preserves traditional local flavors. With over half a century of dedication, adhering to the philosophy of using fresh ingredients and maintaining hygienic processes, it proudly presents the bowl cake and fish soup that have been its signature dishes since opening. Shanmei Zhengji only offers two dishes, which are bowl cake and fish soup. The bowl cake is made with specially selected traditional rice, ground to form the outer skin, paired with minced meat, shrimp, mushrooms, and salted egg yolks. The fish soup utilizes Tainan's specialty, milkfish, along with black marlin, creating a sweet and tender broth with a chewy texture. Shanmei Zhengji's bowl cake features carefully selected traditional rice combined with rich minced meat, pork hind leg, shrimp, mushrooms, and salted egg yolks. The taste of Shanmei Zhengji is simple yet genuine, evoking nostalgic flavors of home. The fish soup combines Tainan's milkfish with black marlin, creating a proud dish that features the sweetness of milkfish and the crispiness of black marlin, resulting in a perfectly harmonious golden combination.
