Shanmei Zhengji was founded in 1953, originally located at the Dongmen Roundabout in Tainan City. Continuing the spirit of 60 years, it preserves the traditional local flavors. With over half a century of commitment, it adheres to the principles of fresh ingredients and hygienic processes, presenting the bowl cake and fish soup that it has proudly offered since its establishment. Shanmei Zhengji only sells two dishes: bowl cake and fish soup. The bowl cake is made from specially selected traditional rice ground into a skin, paired with minced meat, shrimp, mushrooms, and salted egg yolk. The fish soup uses Tainan's specialty fish, the milkfish, along with black marlin, creating a sweet flavor and a chewy texture. The bowl cake at Shanmei Zhengji combines specially selected traditional rice with flavorful minced meat, pork hind leg, shrimp, mushrooms, and salted egg yolk. The taste of Shanmei Zhengji is a simple and genuine flavor that evokes memories of home. The fish soup is a proud combination of Tainan's specialty milkfish and black marlin, where the milkfish is sweet and the black marlin is tender and crunchy, resulting in a seamless golden combination.
