Chen's Handmade Tofu Pudding Introduction

Hidden in the alleys of Tainan, there are no large signs and no crowds waiting in line, yet this is an old and beloved bean curd shop known through word of mouth among locals. The elderly owner, who has been making bean curd for 50 years, has passed down the handcrafted method to his grandson in his twenties. This shop began in 1949 when the owner carried a shoulder pole and later upgraded to a cart, offering only traditional bean curd with syrup back then. Today, with the trend of adding toppings to bean curd, we have also introduced a variety of delicious options. Tapioca Pearls: Soft and chewy traditional-style tapioca balls that will stick together if left overnight. No chemical additives are used. Red Beans: Made with thin-skinned, meaty red beans from Wandan, Pingtung, carefully cooked to ensure quality. Lemon and Kumquat: We use fresh fruit juice, not canned. Additionally, our syrup is made from a blend of granulated sugar and brown sugar, ensuring a natural aroma for your peace of mind.
