Chen's Handmade Tofu Pudding Introduction
Hidden in the alleys of Tainan, without large signs or crowds, is a traditional douhua shop that has been passed down through word of mouth. The elderly owner has been making douhua for 50 years and has taught his handmade douhua technique to his grandson, who is in his twenties. The shop started in 1949, originally selling only douhua with syrup, which is why it was called traditional douhua. Now that adding ingredients to douhua has become popular, we also offer a variety of delicious douhua options. Pearls: Soft and chewy traditional-style boba that will stick together if left overnight, made without any chemical additives. Red Beans: Made from Pingtung Wandan red beans, which have thin skins and rich flesh, cooked by ourselves to ensure quality. Lemon and Kumquat: Made from fresh fruit juice, not canned. Furthermore, our syrup is made with a combination of granulated sugar and brown sugar for a natural aroma, ensuring safe consumption.
