Chen's Handmade Tofu Pudding Introduction

Hidden in the alleys of Tainan, there are no large signs, and no queues of people, yet this is a traditional tofu dessert shop passed down through word of mouth among locals. The elderly owner, who has been making tofu for 50 years, has taught the handcrafting method to his grandson in his twenties. The tofu shop began in 1949 with a shoulder pole, initially selling just tofu with syrup, hence called traditional tofu. Now that flavored tofu is popular, we too have introduced various delicious toppings. Tapioca pearls: Soft and chewy old-fashioned tapioca, which becomes sticky when left overnight, made without chemical additives. Red beans: We use Pingtung's Wan-Dan red beans, which are thin-skinned and meaty, cooked by ourselves to ensure quality. Lemon and kumquat: Made from fresh fruit juice, not canned. Additionally, our syrup is made from white sugar and brown sugar, ensuring a natural aroma for your safe consumption.
