Hershey's Healthy Bakery Introduction
In 1989, Shuling Deng, who was pregnant in the United States, began her journey of developing baked goods due to her aversion to greasy and overly salty foods. After returning to Taiwan and in response to frequent food safety incidents, she established the Heirsi Studio, providing a service for ordering and delivering naturally fermented bread. Shuling insists that her bread is 100% natural and made with seasonal ingredients. Concerned about the possibility of food additives in semi-finished products, she also makes the fillings herself whenever possible and visits small farmers to ensure the quality of raw materials. Shuling's approach involves using natural sourdough yeast for a low-temperature, long fermentation process, resulting in a natural flavor and texture without any artificial additives. Every piece of bread in the shop undergoes a health-conscious production process that takes over 40 hours. With positive feedback from customers, Heirsi opened a physical store in 2014, and to improve product quality, it passed the ISO 9001 certification in 2016. Although the method of making natural yeast bread is complex and time-consuming, often affected by climate, what keeps Shuling going is the affirmation and support from her customers. The natural and healthy baked goods are the go-to choice for many fitness enthusiasts and health-conscious customers, especially appealing to those suffering from chronic illnesses, as Shuling's bread does not cause any bloating or discomfort. Fascinated by fermented foods, Shuling has also developed products like rice wine and tempeh, with her gardenia wine, gardenia flower wine, and passion fruit wine soon to be released! The walls of Heirsi Health Bakery are adorned with murals of magic forests and fairies, symbolizing that each loaf of bread embodies the "health" and "creative" magic. Once tasted, the slightly tangy flavor and 100% natural ingredients create a magical experience that improves gut health! Recommended dishes: Gardenia Red Bean Bread, Youth Brew, Ai Yu Jelly.
