Tangshan Mochi: A Culinary Legacy of Seven Decades In 2002, it won the Ministry of Economic Affairs' Traditional Flavor Food Competition for its "Mochi Delight," which has a history of 70 years. The founder, Lin Dong, learned the authentic craft of making Tangshan mochi through his friendship with a local from Tangshan. The signature traditional mochi combines the fragrance of glutinous rice with a chewy texture, allowing it to glide smoothly without any sticking to the teeth. Each piece is filled with visible mung bean paste and sweet peanut powder, creating a uniquely sweet and savory taste.
