Tangshan Mochi: A Timeless Delight Established 70 years ago, this renowned "Mochi" shop, known for its "Mochi Jelly," won the Ministry of Economic Affairs' traditional food selection in 2002. The founder, Lin Dong, learned the authentic Tangshan mochi-making technique after befriending someone from Tangshan. The signature traditional mochi combines the fragrance of glutinous rice with an incredibly chewy texture that doesn’t stick to your teeth. Each piece is filled with visible mung bean paste and mixed with sweet peanut powder, offering a uniquely sweet and savory experience.
