Hometown Linwei Introduction

My Hometown, Linwei "Hometown Linwei" is one of the new ventures of Brother Chen, the current owner of "Yongfu Hall." Brother Chen mentioned that he struggled for a long time in mainland China, and upon reflection, he realized that Taiwan is where he truly wants to build a future. After returning to Taiwan, he pondered on what he could do, and he happened to notice a patch of overgrown land on his property, deciding to plant hibiscus. The story of "Hometown Linwei" begins with "Yongfu Hall," which has a history of nearly 170 years and is the oldest building in Jiji Township. After Brother Chen returned to his hometown, he recalled carefree memories from his childhood, such as catching loaches in the fields, fishing for frogs, roasting sweet potatoes, catching crickets, and chasing butterflies. These memories inspired him to return home after many years and strengthened his belief in starting anew. Embracing the natural taste of his hometown, Brother Chen began learning and experimenting with planting after which he tried hard to grow hibiscus. Not only is he assured of the quality of his ingredients, but he also feels secure in consuming them himself. In addition to cultivating non-toxic organic hibiscus, he has developed hibiscus pastries, cookies, juices, jams, and more—tears of the goddess!
