Qigu Sanbu Deng Oyster Omelette Introduction
Qigu Lagoon is a relic of the Taijiang Inner Sea, and its tranquil and beautiful scenery is breathtaking. The emerging travel formula of "taking a bamboo raft to explore the lagoon and visiting Wangziliao beach to enjoy the sunset" attracts tourists from all over Taiwan to this legendary secret place. Every visitor to Qigu Lagoon is awed by the picturesque oyster racks, fixed nets, rich ecology on the sandy beach, and the crescent-shaped sand dunes, all of which are stunning natural landscapes. Moreover, the seafood sold by fishermen at Wangziliao beach, such as oyster pancakes, fried oysters, oyster rolls, squid balls, and fried tilapia, creates wonderful memories for visitors' taste buds. Brothers Yang Guoyuan and Yang Ruixing are local fishermen from Longshan. They cultivate oysters and set fixed nets for fishing in Qigu Lagoon to make a living. In the 1990s, with the rise of tourism in Qigu Lagoon, Yang Ruixing began operating bamboo rafts to take passengers on tours of the lagoon. To enhance the variety of experiences for tourists landing at Wangziliao beach and to allow them to taste the freshly caught, unpolluted seafood from Qigu Lagoon, Yang Guoyuan started selling fried oyster pancakes, fried oysters, and tilapia at Wangziliao beach in 2003. Due to their fresh and delicious offerings, they received widespread acclaim and became another attraction for visitors to the lagoon. Today, as the coastline retreats, the area of Qigu Lagoon is gradually shrinking and becoming shallower, and the topography of Wangziliao beach has significantly changed.
