Sikou Sanbu-deng Oyster Omelette Introduction
Qigu Lagoon is a remnant of the Tainan Inner Sea, and its tranquil and beautiful scenery is breathtaking. "Riding a bamboo raft to explore the lagoon, landing at Wangziliao to enjoy the sunset" has become a new travel formula, attracting visitors from all over Taiwan to this legendary secret spot. Visitors who have been to Qigu Lagoon are amazed by the picturesque oyster racks, fixed nets, rich ecology on the sandy shores, and the crescent-shaped sand dunes. Additionally, the seafood sold by the fishermen at Wangziliao, such as oyster omelettes, fried oysters, oyster rolls, squid balls, and fried tilapia, create beautiful memories of taste. Brothers Yang Guoyuan and Yang Ruixing are local fishermen in Longshan, raising oysters and capturing fish with fixed nets for a living. In the 1990s, as tourism in Qigu Lagoon grew, Yang Ruixing began operating a rubber raft to take passengers around the lagoon. To enhance the experience for visitors landing at Wangziliao and allow them to taste the freshly caught, unpolluted seafood from Qigu Lagoon, Yang Guoyuan started selling fried oyster omelettes, fried oysters, and tilapia at Wangziliao in 2003. Due to their freshness and deliciousness, they gained a great reputation, becoming another scenic highlight of the lagoon. Today, as the coastline shifts inward, the area of Qigu Lagoon is gradually shrinking and becoming shallower, and the topography of Wangziliao has changed significantly.
